Well I don't see just why Midway would decide to not release anymore Gamecube games.  They'll just end up not making as much money as what they could.  Game company's is about making as much profit as possible and Midway won't achieve there goal if they decide to not make Deception for gamecube.  Secondly it's true that gaming companies are starting to create games with online capability but is proving to have little if any return in profit, the reason being for Nintendo's decision to not go online.  Also MK Deception has online capabilities but it's only one small option out of many that MKD has to offer.  It is still largly a home based game to play with friends at home, or by yourself.  So there is no reason for MKD to not be on the Gamecube.

Also I'm not having a go at anybody hear I'm just expressing my views in the hope that anybody at Midway or anyone who works for Ed Boon will see this.  If anybody else feels the way I do please say so that I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Nintendo Gaming / Mortal Kombat: Deception for X-box PS2 but not GC?!
« on: April 13, 2004, 09:37:16 PM »
As we all know Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance was on all gaming systems (excluding PC) and was considered to be the fighting game to change all fighting games.  Now the new mortal kombat game is set to be released on both PS2 and X-BOX but not Gamecube!  Now why is that?  I mean it isn't official that it won't be released on Gamecube but they certainly havn't suggested Gamecube as being one of the console's to support the game!!!  I'm pissed off if they don't release it on the Nintendo Gamecube.  Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance was released on the Gamecube and I considered the Gamecube version to be the best.  It had a faster loading time than the PS2 (I'm not sure about the x-box version) and I found it easier to control!  They can't just decide to not release the next game on the Gamecube, especialy if they use the excuse of the Gamecube media disk only having 1.5gig of memory.  Eternal Darkness for the Nintendo Gamecube took up 9GIG and the Nintendo gamecube hardware was able to compress that memory down to 1.5 GIG.  I hope you all agree with me even if you don't own a Gamecube that Mortal Kombat Deception should be released on Nintendo's system.  Deadly Alliance worked so well on gamecube and so should Deception!!!

In my eyes the x-box is just a downgraded version of a pc.  If I ever want a game that's on the x-box then i'll just get it on my pc.  Besides it might be true that x-box can pull more pollygons and higher resolutions but graphics isn't everything.  It's the gameplay that's everything!!!

And that's why I own a Gamecube

Woops sorry my mistake.

Anyway I agree with you, I find it pointless to add a dvd player into the system for I also have one.  When you think about it nearly everyone has a DVD Player now so really it would be pointless to add one into the N5.

Besides I don't think Nintendo would do it.  If they added a DVD Player to the console then they would most likely use DVD CD's which would then create easy piracy.  My logic way of thinking is that you can't play a special medium disk like the 3-inch sized dvd disks that nintendo are using now in a dvd player, so if nintendo desided to continue to use a specially designed disk for the next console and they also wanted it to play dvd's, they would have to have 2 cd trays.  One tray for the games and one tray for the DVD's which would then in my opinion look crap.  That's just my way of thinking.

It will be interesting to see if Microsoft can pull it off with the x-box 2 since they would most likely have it playing dvd's and also using special game disks.

Instead of calling me an idiot perhaps you would like to give your views on what you would like to see on the new Nintendo console.

Just like when Nintendo saw potential in RARE and now Silicon Knights.  Nintendo has a nose for this sort of thing.

I suppose what it really boils down to is the game developer.  You may get a game develpoer that can make lots and lots of games but all of which are bad, and then you'll get someone like Factor 5 who may only make one game but they put there all into it.  Of course having support from the game company like Factor 5 had from Nintendo doesn't go a stray.

Nintendo Gaming / What N5 should have!!!!!!
« on: December 12, 2003, 04:46:26 PM »
Now that its only a few months away till Nintendo reveils its new console I'd like to give you all my opinion on what the N5 should be like.

Firstly it would be cool if Nintendo made the N5 compatible with the Gamecube games so already it would have a large library of games.  Making a move like this would be making the same move as what Sony did with the Playstation 2.  But that was the only upside PS2 had on Gamecube.  Secondly Nintendo should make the Gamecube controller compatible with the N5 for you can't improve too much more from the controller point of view.  The only problem Nintendo would be facing is the controllers having Gamecube written on them.  This is of course just a minor thing.

The 3rd and what I reccon the best Idea Nintendo should have for N5 (assuming that it'll still run on disks) is that somewhere on the console it has a port where you can plug in your old Nes, Snes, N64, GB, GB Colour and GBA games.  This would mean the N5 would undeniably be the Ultimate Gaming System with a library of games in the thousands!!!  Now who would say no to that?

This would then prove Nintendo President Hiroshi Yamauchi  point that it's all about the games.

Ok here is an intelligent comment.

A game that I would like to bring up that is now considered to be old, infact runs better on the Gamecube than the other two consoles.  The game i'm talking about is James Bond: Agent Under Fire.  When you start a multiplayer game it takes the playstation 14 seconds to load it up, the x-box takes 12 seconds to load up and the Gamecube takes an amazing 4 seconds!!!!!!  If anybody is wondering I got this information when I use to be an IGN-Insider member.  I didn't pay of course somebody gave me their password

This just goes to prove that gamecube runs just as well as the other consoles, actually it runs better!!!!!!

Well know that you've got the game what do you think of it?  I loved the game and now I've just started going through it again!  I'm determind to have a model of all the characters in the game in the Nintendo Gallery.  The only thing that annoyed me was that when I finally finished the game I couldn't find 3 maps and I only had to find one more heart.  I loved the ending of Wind Waker but I won't talk about it just incase you havn't finished it yet

It doesn't really have to be in the review section since in the "Gamecube Discussion" forum you can talk about anything Gamecube which includes games.  Besides its not so much as a review but just saying how cool the game is which by the way does sound cool!!!  I havn't played any of the Lord Of The Rings games but what your saying Luciferschild I wanna play the game now!!!

Yes, I read an article in cube magazine that R Racing Evolution is basically just like GT3.  I don't care too much for racers myself but the images in the magazine looked pretty impresive.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Changing GameCube Face Plates

If the case is that you can't take the logo off the glass face plate then I don't know why "CUBE MAGAZINE" has even put those logo pictures in the magazine.

Maybe there's a face plate you can buy that allows you to put pictures in them

There has to be a way of being able to do it or they wouldn't have put the pictures in the magazine.

Anyway here is the actual website address to be able to print some off.

Why thankyou for your welcome.  I use to be at another forum at Nchamber.com but they have now shut down till the new nintendo system is reveiled.

Anyway if you or anybody else want to download some fascias i've found some good ones at www.planetnintendo.com  On the site it says that there are instructions in your gamecube manual that tells you how to change the logo but I've looked at its not in there.

Nintendo Gaming / Can somebody please help me out!!!
« on: December 09, 2003, 03:28:28 PM »
First off I'd just like to say hello to everyone here in the GAMECUBE Forum.  As you might have guest i'm new here .  I'd also like to take this opertunity to say sorry to the person who I may have taken their user name from.  I tried to use the user name Mario but someone had that so I decided to go with Mario Mario.

Anyway down to business.  I recently purchased a Gamecube magazine called "CUBE" where they have some free GAMECUBE Fascias that you can cut out and replace the gamecube logo on the gamecube with.  One of these Fascias is a cool looking Soul Calibur 2 with link holding his sord high up in the air.  Well anyway would somebody please beable to give me a step by step instructions on how to replace the gamecube logo with my picture.  I'm able to take the round disk thingy off the gamecube but i don't know how to take the glass off to replace the picture.  Can somebody please help me?

Thanks
