Can somebody please help me out!!!
« on: December 09, 2003, 03:28:28 PM »
First off I'd just like to say hello to everyone here in the GAMECUBE Forum.  As you might have guest i'm new here .  I'd also like to take this opertunity to say sorry to the person who I may have taken their user name from.  I tried to use the user name Mario but someone had that so I decided to go with Mario Mario.

Anyway down to business.  I recently purchased a Gamecube magazine called "CUBE" where they have some free GAMECUBE Fascias that you can cut out and replace the gamecube logo on the gamecube with.  One of these Fascias is a cool looking Soul Calibur 2 with link holding his sord high up in the air.  Well anyway would somebody please beable to give me a step by step instructions on how to replace the gamecube logo with my picture.  I'm able to take the round disk thingy off the gamecube but i don't know how to take the glass off to replace the picture.  Can somebody please help me?

Thanks
It's e' me, Mario!!!!!!

Well, unfortunately I'm not aware of this magazine or anything, so I can't help you, but I'd like to commend your ability to follow the rules. . . few new guys show such prowess in their internet tact.  Welcome to the PGC forums, man.

I'll tell you, but you have to get me one of those Face Plates and mail it to me...
.....
No? Well, I guess that's just as well, since I have no idea how to do that anyway...

But, seriously, I have no clue how to go about doing that. I always assumed that they gave away actual face plates, not paper discs to glue to the top. There is no way to remove the Cube logo from the plate and replace it; it's sealed up tight, baby.

Why thankyou for your welcome.  I use to be at another forum at Nchamber.com but they have now shut down till the new nintendo system is reveiled.

Anyway if you or anybody else want to download some fascias i've found some good ones at www.planetnintendo.com  On the site it says that there are instructions in your gamecube manual that tells you how to change the logo but I've looked at its not in there.

Quick question, though: Why did you make two threads concerning this?  Was that a mistake?

There has to be a way of being able to do it or they wouldn't have put the pictures in the magazine.

Anyway here is the actual website address to be able to print some off.

You can replace the faceplate by opening up the lid.  There are two tabs underneath that hold the faceplate on.  hold those and push, and the faceplate will come right off.

I have seen CUBE magazine in Save On Foods here in Canada.  I saw a nice Resident Evil faceplate and a nice Resident Evil faceplate, but could never afford to buy either of them at the time.

I believe his problem is removing the glass from the faceplate, not removing the faceplate from the GC, but is that even possible?  I'm not home to check...

Well, CUBE Magazine must have become a lot cheaper in recent history.  They used to give the full faceplate.

Sorry, I have had a bit to drink tonight, and I don't read so well after a few beers.  (I don't read so well normally either, but whatever)

If the case is that you can't take the logo off the glass face plate then I don't know why "CUBE MAGAZINE" has even put those logo pictures in the magazine.

Maybe there's a face plate you can buy that allows you to put pictures in them

I've got those fascia's from CUBE (a UK-based magazine), and the originals in the plastic covering, but I've put the issues with the instructions up in the loft, sorry!

Maybe you could try looking at Totalgames.net since that's the website where CUBE come from. Good luck buddy!!!
