re: Peter Jackson, a lot of people seem to hate that King Kong remake but I actually quite liked it. The bug scene was amazing.

There were already two superior versions of King Kong before Jackson got around to his half-assed attempt. Three if you count the first half of King Kong vs Godzilla. The movie simply did not need to be made. The fact that it wasn't even half as good as the versions that came before only served to make it that much more pathetic.

Did you seriously just say that the 70's Kong was good? Now I know that you're trolling.

a movie about Darrel Hammond as Sean Connery playing bond would have been better than the whole Austin Powers series.

That's debatable...but probably true. Austin Powers in Goldmember was great because they basically just gave up on trying to tell a story and it was all jokes.

It was a decent enough modernization. It was leagues beyond what Peter Jackson did, at least. I know you kids today can't stand any form of media that came before 1982. :P

Goldmember was terrible precisely because of that. Oh, and all of the needless cameos. The film really should have never been made. :(

we just don't know for sure. We haven't really seen a character movie from Darrel Hammond. He always has small parts in other movies, but has never been leading man. On the other hand he was just as funny if not funnier than Will Farrel on SNL. One of my favorite skits was him as President Clinton dressed up as Mystery the Pickup artist. That was classic.

Goldmember was horrible. It was nothing but pop culture references and way too many SELF-references. And look, Beyonce is all about the booty. Try showing THAT off, not what she...doesn't have.

Aren't all the Austin Powers movies like that? It's Mike Meyer's style of humor, I guess.

Apparently, a new F***ing show you should keep an eye out for is Young Justice: Invasion.

This isn't your regular Young Justice.  At least as far as my DVR is concerned... because it recorded the first minute or so at the end of Green Lantern, then left me f***ing hanging with no clue what the hell is going on.  On the plus side, Cartoon Network replays it every half hour or so.

Stupid DVR.
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

COMMUNITY HAS BEEN RENEWED FOR A FOURTH SEASON!!!!

Only 13 episodes, but NBC isn't calling it the final season, so there's a chance it might get more. Six seasons and a movie!

I happy for Community, but what was NBC to replace it with?
Aren't they trying to hold onto anything with a consistent viewership at this point?

Yes, because they also renewed Smash even though that slid down the ratings.
Alcatraz (on Fox) was cancelled and that slid almost exactly the same amount - from about 12m to 5-6m.

Honestly, look at 13 episodes of Community as being a blessing. It's taking it into the realm of (long) british tv seasons, and that only means a good thing for quality.

Community is one of my favorite currently running 30 minutes shows. I'm really happy they decided to not let this be the last season.

I'm just saying that I wouldn't be surprised if they resurrected Chuck at this point, because the shows they got running now really are all they have. NBC has been hurting, and sadly, it's the only reason Community survives for another season...

Chuck was pretty played out the by the last Season and I like Chuck.  What they need is a new Chuck like concept.  Something that is a fun ride for a few seasons and then move on.

I agree, but NBC has not been having the best luck as of late, which is actually helping some of the better shows that would have been axed sooner in favor of of higher rated ones.

Chuck is just another example of a show that would have been axed sooner if NBC wasn't desperate to hold onto the viewers that it did have. Which was why I mentioned it, not that I actually think they should bring it back.

I know it was confirmed that 30 Rock is getting a final 13-episode wrap-up season. Good riddence. That show started out AMAZING but dropped off a cliff in the fourth season. Sadly, with that 13-episode "season" announced for Community, I fear the same is true for it. I hope not, because they JUST BROUGHT IT BACK. Parks & Rec may also be on the wrap-up season chopping block, even though it's great. And getting better. Especially after last night's episode.

If they want to free up some air space, please cancel the Office, and make it retroactive for about four years, please.
