From July

2. Super Princess Peach with 15:28
3.  SSFIV 13:38
4. Spirit Tracks With 9:59
5. DK94 with 7:07

I know I have a lot more activity then this, on LoZ:2 alone.

TrueNerdOctober 07, 2011

1) Ocarina of Time 3D - 60:55 (My friend played through it entirely right after I did.)
2) Shantae: Risky's Revenge - 4:25
3) eShop - 3:07
4) Metroid 2:01
5) Super Mario Bros 1:41

I'll be kind of shocked if anything ever replaces OoT.

They actually already have, it just needs to be localized.

Actually I still haven't played Picross 3D. You're right, that could give OoT a run for it's money.

....ahh.. the only problem with spending all your money on a 3ds is that you have none left for the games. I haven't even been able to buy a 3ds game for mine yet... let alone play one..

NbzOctober 07, 2011

1. Pilotwings Resort - 20:15
2. Zelda Ocarina of Time - 9:27
3. Internet Browser - 8:38
4. AR Games - 3:43
5. Nintendo E-Shop - 2:57

Zelda II*: 10:26
SMT Devil Survivor Overclocked: 7:32
Zelda Link's Awakening DX: 3:40
Super Mario Land: 3:39
You Don't Know Jack (2DS): 3:09

* can eat a dick

Also, I will defend #2 on the list by pointing out that I have never seen the original game. Seriously.

xcwarriorOctober 07, 2011

I bought a 3DS a few days prior to the price drop and got the price drop so I would have the free games and cheaper system. My list clearly looks different from most of the ones above. Also, I'm very sad that to see that none of the staffers have any of the NES games in their top 5, despite some of them having pretty low counts for their 5th game.

Bought 3DS on 8/9
1) The Worlds Ends With You (14:50)
2) Pokemon Soul Silver (6:55)
3) NES Open Tournament Golf (5:58)
4) Super Mario Bros (3:30)
5) Wrecking Crew (3:17)

Yet to buy my first retail 3DS game yet, but might pick up Tetris Axis soon.

Michael, Zach, and I all have Zelda II in our top five, and James C. has the original Zelda in his. In fact Zelda II is my number two game, having played it for 20 hours. The only game that I've played longer is Ocarina of Time 3D.

RazorkidOctober 08, 2011

Cool post  ;D

1. Ghost Recon Shadow Wars (45:03)
2. Ocarina of Time 3D (28:39)
3. Ridge Racer 3D (24:07)
4. Pilotwings Resort (21:17)
5. Supper Street Fighter IV  (13:12)

It's nice to see people who podcast and write about games actually play handhelds, too  ;)

TansunnOctober 08, 2011

Huh...

1.  Nintendo 3DS Sound - 94:38
2.  Ocarina of Time 3D - 71:39
3.  Star Fox 64 3D - 33:14
4.  Zelda II - 26:39
5.  Nintendo eShop - 19:50

...how the hell did I get so much eShop time?  I can only assume most of that was inactive idling while I was browsing the internet for game information.  That's out of 64 titles in all, by the way.

monkeyman007October 08, 2011

My play times ( i know, its alot.)

The Legend of Zelda Ocarina Of Time: 83:16

Internet Browser: 63:03

Madden NFL Football: 38: 43

Asphalt 3D: 37:16

Pilotwings Resort: 26:28

Netflix: 25:38

Starfox 64 3D: 18:59

Nintendogs + Cats: 8: 32

And many more. My total play time is 513:25, and i have 975,243 steps and 80 titles played.

CericOctober 08, 2011

For the lack of games I think we all seem to be getting a lot of use out of our 3DS.

Lady MushroomOctober 08, 2011

1 Ocarina of Time 3D 36:13
2 Nintendo 3DS Sound 22:36
3 Delbo 20:01
4 Let's Golf 3D 18:46
5 Super Monkey Ball 3D 14:18

I now use Nintendo 3DS Sound as my main music player - I plug the 3DS into my speakers, close it and put it on its cradle. I guess 22 hours doesn't count all the time I am playing it - just the time I am fiddling with the music!

Delbo is a $1.99 match-3 game (like Magical Drop). Hard to believe that until recently we paid full retail prices for games like this! But they're as addictive as ever! Let's Golf 3D is another really nice download title.

Super Monkey Ball I got with my 3Ds and is my only other full retail 3DS game.

Yes, considering there is so little retail software, I am having a lot of fun with the system.

Notice that I use my 3DS largely to keep up on Twitter.

Zack and James Jones:

Do neither of you have a computer?
James, 88 hours in Netflix? an alright video player, good when you don't have a phone or internet handy, i suppose..
and Zack.. that's an awfull lot of twitter :)

Finally, I noticed Danny has tons of e-shop hours, but no e-shop games on his top 5?

Here is what I got..

1. Zekda: Link''s DX 10:45
2. Nintendo eShop 9:46
3. Netflix 9:9:14
4. Geometry Wars 5:28
5. AR Games 5:01

Thanks for sharing guys :)

I use it for Netflix when I'm cooking or cleaning or somewhere away from the computer and frequently moving.

My phone can also do Netflix but I prefer the interface of the 3DS version.

gojiraOctober 09, 2011

Here's what I got.

1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - 27:58
2. Mario's Picross - 23:04
3. Netflix - 16:57
4. Puzzle League Express - 14:04
5. Advance Wars: Dual Strike - 13:30

One game that might have been in there is 999.  I marathon'd the game and I think I only closed out of the game once.  But for some reason it says I played it once for two hours.  Maybe after twelve hours it rolls back to zero?

LittleIrvesOctober 09, 2011

A great idea for an article. I'm always looking at my game stats for some reason. Oddly satisfying. Here's my 5:

1. Ocarina of Time 3D - 36:27
2. Pilotwings Resort - 15:13
3. nintendogs + cats - 9:03
4. StreetPass Mii Plaza - 8:59
5. Steel Diver - 8:14

Heavy on the 1st party launch titles, I guess...

(@xcwarrior, NES Open Tournament Golf is close behind, at #7 with 7:30)

What I heard was "I  buy a 3DS Twitter App."  I wonder if Nintendo would allow that.

That'll never happen, largely because it would MAKE SENSE.
