More Galidor action is headed at you via the Game Boy Advance. Check out our new preview!
With many licensed console games based on popular children’s franchises, there is also a handheld version. GALIDOR: Defenders of the Outer Dimension is no stranger to this phenomenon. The Game Boy Advance version of GALIDOR is being developed by a different team from the console versions and will obviously be quite different from its console brothers. Most of the info we have pertains to the GameCube version of GALIDOR.
It’s a very good possibility that the plot for this game will be the same as the GameCube version. Players assume the role of Nick Bluetooh, the main character in Fox Kid’s TV show “GALIDOR: Defenders of the Outer Dimension” who battles against the evil Gorm. Nick’s friends have been taken captive and he’s out to rescue them in this adventure.
Nick has the ability to “glinch” abilities from enemies. This means that he may use their abilities, sort of like how Mega Man gets weapons from his enemies. Using these abilities he must save his friends and collect all of the key fragments to unlock the secret passage to the GALIDOR, so that he may destroy Gorm.
What makes Galidor special is that the game can talk to a special accessory made by LEGO. Galidor for the GBA is being developed by a different team from the console versions so it will most likely not have this feature. Not to mention that it would be hard to carry a LEGO toy with you to play the game on the go. GALIDOR will be released for GBA this fall.
