Learn a little bit about Mobile 21’s dating sim, based on a manga in Japan and designed for Japanese girls.
Tanbi Musou Meine Liebe is Mobile 21’s dating sim for Japanese girls. The game is atypical to most dating sims, in that it features a female protagonist interacting with males, instead of having a male character trying to score with girls. A popular Japanese manga artist did the game’s character design and IGN Pocket report the game itself is based on a manga series.
The game covers a span of two years, in which the protagonist must explore her school campus & interact with a variety of different potential suitors before deciding which guy to confess her true heart to. This entails going on dates with guys and doing a lot of talking. Using the GBA link cable, you can even go on double dates with friends!
There are also apparently anime “super deformed” style scenes of the game where you interact with friends & apparently buy items. We’re unclear as to other aspects of the game, though most of us haven’t played dating sim games either.
Tanbi Musou Meine Liebe has no chance of coming to the U.S. unless Konami decides to go really wild and chance unleashing this “dating sim” to an unsuspecting world. Dating Simulation is a genre never before seen outside of Japan, making it very unlikely. We’re not sure any importers would be “hard core” otakus enough to order this either…
Tanbi Musou Meine Liebe game was released yesterday (April 26, 2001) and should we learn anything else significant about this title, we’ll let ya know.
