The mysterious GameCube developer, led by ex-Rare employees, squashes a few rumo(u)rs and hints at its first project.

Discuss it in Talkback!

Zoonami has been the subject of many rumors, but now their website has updated with some of the first real info we've seen from the company itself.

In addition to trampling on rumors that they are working on a Goldeneye 007 sequel of any kind or some "Gran Turismo killer", they've uploaded a heavily censored game proposal of their upcoming GameCube project, codenamed Game Zero.

The only real info to be gleaned from this tantalizing clue is that Game Zero was proposed back in January 2000, so it has been in development for quite a while now. We also know that the story focuses on one lead character, so the game is presumably defined by its protagonist/mascot. The sheet also mentions a small planet, so at least part of the game or story doesn't take place on Earth.

Slim pickings to be sure, but hopefully the Zoonami website will be updated further soon with more info!
