According to Left Field, the sequel to the N64 Snowboarding game is not currently being worked on.

Games Radar has heard from the president of Left Field, Mike Lamb, about the state of 1080° Snowboarding 2. After hearing rumors of the game being canceled, Lamb told Games Radar "We were developing a Gamecube snowboarding game for Nintendo but we have stopped work on the project. I really can't comment on the reasons."

So, it appears that 1080° 2 won't be coming out any time soon. But it's not canceled, yet. According to Games Radar there is some speculation that the title might be taken in by Nintendo and worked on. This is supported by the fact that Giles Goddard, who coded 1080° 1, has recently rejoined Nintendo. So, the project might be handed over to him so it can feel his golden touch once again.

The article notes that Goddard is currently working on Doshin the Giant, which is scheduled to be finished in January or Febuary, leaving him free to work on the 1080 sequel.
