Several months ago, THQ announced several Nickelodeon licensed GBA games, such as Rugrats, Rocket Power and one other: Spongebob Squarepants. I had never heard of the show and in reporting the story, made some goofy remark about not being interested in playing any game involving a sponge in “squarepants.”

Several readers contacted me and told me to go out of my way to check the show out before jumping to conclusions. After a little while, I did… And boy I was foolish. Spongebob Squarepants is completely hilarious.

I’ve already publicly eaten my words & now watch the show whenever possible. Some of you out there may still be in the dark as I once was. Fatbabies has just posted an article, giving a great overview of Spongebob Squarepants and how this silly show may very well hold a life lesson for all of us.

The GBA "SBSP" game is due in mid-October, and the franchise is headed to GameCube sometime next year, courtesy of THQ.
