According to Weekly Famitsu magazine and as reported by IGNcube, the original Resident Evil is being ported to GameCube. According to Famitsu, the game's graphics will be "massively updated"...most likely, the pre-rendered backgrounds will be converted into fully polygonal environments, with some new dramatic camera swoops added for effect. Also, there will be some new gameplay features added. This remake is set to hit the GameCube in Japan next spring.

IGNcube adds that its sources say Resident Evil Zero is still in development for GameCube.
