Thanks to the scoop by IGN Pocket, we now know that this gorgeous game is being ported to GBA. It will retain its pre-rendered backgrounds and animation-style sprites, and presumably the dialogue is still there in either text or voice, but not much else is known about the game just yet. We've gone ahead and set up a game profile for Broken Sword containing a bit of info and some unmarked screens. (Thanks FGN Online, we much prefer them when available!)
