Today is a good day. Everything is good.

It was revealed earlier this morning, during the Pokémon Direct, that the two new special edition Pokémon 3DS XLs will be coming to North America and Europe on September 27.

There will be a red one and a blue one. Both will have an MSRP of $199.99. The hardware will feature the flagship Pokémon from Pokémon X and Y.

It was confirmed at an earlier date that Japan will be getting this same blue 3DS XL Pokémon hardware, as well as a special gold version with a different design. The Red version, announced today, has the same artwork as the blue hardware and currently appears exclusive to Western markets.

Pokémon X and Y will be released worldwide on October 12, 2013.

These are pretty good, but I think I still like the Pikachu one better.

Call me greedy but I wish the software came with it. Its not like they aren't gonna sell 10 squillion copies of the titles.

The blue one should be for Y and then the X one should be pink.
