The Need for Speed invades Nintendo's downloadable game service.

Five new titles have been added to Nintendo's downloadable game service, including one from a notable franchise. 

EA's Need for Speed series makes an appearance on DSiWare in the form of Need for Speed: Nitro X. Nitro X offers arcade-style racing on 16 race tracks and local multiplayer for up to four players. The title also offers DSi features such as the ability to snap photos and place them on the tracks. Need for Speed: Nitro X is available now for 800 DSi Points ($8).

From Agetec Inc. comes Go Fetch! The 500 DSi Point ($5) title is a pet simulator where players participate in a game of fetch with their puppy. They use the stylus to guide the puppy when fetching the balls. Obstacles must be avoided in the process. 

21: Blackjack from Digital Leisure Inc. is the third and final DSiWare release for the week. The card game simulator available for 200 DSi Points ($2).

Derby Dogs from Aksys Games is the first of two WiiWare titles that can be downloaded today. Derby Dogs is a pet simulator where players can raise a dog and have them compete with other players via Nintendo Wi-Fi connection in competitions such as races. The game can be purchased for 500 Wii Points ($5).

The final title for this week's update is Triple Running Sports from The Code Monkeys Ltd. The title focuses on running sports such as 400-meter sprints, Hurdles, and the 1,500 Meter Race. The game is available on the Wii Shop Channel for 500 Wii Points ($5).
