Flip's Twisted World Delayed Again

The Majesco-published 3D platformer is being delayed hopefully for the last time.

Flip's Twisted World, the 3D platformer from Canada-based Frozen North Productions, is not coming out until sometime in October, according to Majesco representatives.

The game was originally supposed to come out in 2009, and was delayed to June 2010 and most recently September 2010. The latest date was actually today, September 21.

The reason for the delay is unknown, though it doesn't have anything to do with the development of the game. According to Frozen North, the game has been finished for a while, and the reason for the delay to September was to not release the game close to Super Mario Galaxy 2.

In the meantime, you can check out our ongoing developer journal with Frozen North, which is being updated at the top of every week and should continue until whenever the game comes out.

This seems rather strange. What would cause a game to be delayed on its release date? The only thing I can think of is that there was some issue with the manufacture/distribution of the game.

This doesn't bode well for it, unfortunately. Now it's up against Kirby, and Donkey Kong is only a month after that.
