Hmm... I remember that the gaming press has problems with Nintendo becuase Nintendo doesn't give out as much swag (free stuff) as other companies as well as sending review copies out later than most, if at all.
I don't blame the Video Game press, I mean if I didn't get free stuff for doing my job, which I am also paid money for, then I would dislike Nintendo too. [/sarcasm]
Personaly I would prefer if more game companies would cater to the actual buyers of their product instead of trying to get more press or better review scores from critics. I'm not just refering to the recent Driver 3 fiasco either, review fixing happens in all areas of the entertainment industry, including video games, and those that believe differently are fooling themselves. Also do they really need to have big E3 parties that probably cost more than the current annual income of most third world countries?
I'm not saying that all the video game press works this way, just a large portion of it.
Anyway, back on subject, why do all of these pre release showings always happen on the east or west coast and never in the center of the country? I mean us Texans like to try games out too.
