In the new EGM with Driver on the cover in the rumor section it says that Halo is coming to the GBA, you guys think that it will? Id rather have it come to the DS but either way it would b cool

Well, obviously it would be a dumbed down version, probably with less graphics, less AI, no vehicles, etc. In other words, it's Doom with worse level design.

Halo would be better on the DS with the stylus and everything. It will be a killer app. for the DS and would achieve a goal in helping Nintendo crush the PSP since after all thats what microsoft is hoping for.

I think the ressource commitment required for DS and PSP games is what's keeping them back, after all, they got a platform to sell.

Wasn't there at one point some rumor going around the web that M$ was going to make a portable? That could be why they won't make games for the DS. I can't remember the name of it though....I think it was the name of a precious stone.

There is a lot of money to be made on the GBA with a franchise as overhyped as Halo. Microsoft wants them some

the DS has no userbase yet, and Microsoft isn't interested in help Nintendo. It is a gamble for Microsoft to release on the DS.

If the DS takes off I wouldn't be surpised to see a "Halo DS"

Berny: Microsoft officials stated they won't release a portable system. Understandable, I have doubts the company could sustain two systems like the XBox...

This game was confirmed by Craig at IGN pocket in the latest mailbag. He said that he was unable to talk about it until another publication (EGM, I guess) mentioned it. That's all he said.
Maybe it will be an overhead game, like Perfect Dark was on GBC...pretty exciting, anyway, I'm a bit shocked that MS is allowing the brand to be published on the GBA. (And I agree that the DS would be a smarter place for it, but Microsoft is obviously trying to make lots of money, which it will on the Gameboy, but maybe not on DS.)

This kinda sux guys, but check out Bungie's website. They are pretty much confirming that no pocket Halo is in the works...at least rite now.
They made an announcement right on their website, and a pretty clever, funny one at that.

Not sure if maybe Craig knows something they dont (doubtful considering they created Halo)...but it looks like there may not be more than meets the eye with this rumor...

Halo is coming to GBA. I have sources from a couple other game companies who have confirmed it. MS is just trying to blow more another smoke screen at Nintendo fans, like when we broke that Rare is developing for DS which they still won't admit too.

The best thing that could come out of this if it's a mediocre game is that it cheapens the Halo brand name. But hey, if it turns out to be a good game, then hurray, another good game! I have my doubts though..

Halo could be REALLY cool on GBA if it were like Metal Slug. But after Monster Truck Madness on GBA... Um, I guess it'll be another sluggish pile of 3D garbage.

Halo on GBA? I won't allow it! GAH! More games being moved to systems that will never look the same, for the worse I might add. I have the most incredible premonition that Halo on the GBA would seriously suck balls. Halo's top priority was graphics and music, then AI and finally, gameplay. GBA was built to support mostly gameplay, but not much in graphics. I admit, there are many GBA games with good graphics, but try to compare any GBA graphics to that of Halo. To me, Halo is good mostly for multiplayer frenzies and awesome graphics.

There's really no point in buying it if I already have the game for Xbox. I've played it enough that I don't need it for the GBA.

i doubt it would be a port. i could imagine it being an originaly gba game with the 'franchise' halo story/characters

It probably won't happen at all. Even game producers should realize how big a flop it would be. Just because it's labeled "Halo" doesn't mean we're all morons.
