Mario 128, Kid Icarus and more
« on: April 15, 2004, 12:45:53 PM »
Over at Nintendojo, they are reporting that Mario 128, Kid Icarus, Golden Sun, and Kirby are gonna be shown at E3 for GAMECUBE.  This is the only site reporting those games.  I know these games are rumored/hoped for GAMECUBE.  Does anyone know if these games are confirmed to be shown at E3 2004?  I've been waiting for Mario 128 forever, that game will be so awesome.

Actually, it's Mario 1-2-3. It's a counting game for younger players. Awesome.

hey smadte, if you don't like Nintendo, then why are you on this NINTENDO website?  Why ya gotta be a smart ass?  If you are a nintendo fan, you will eat up the next traditional mario game just like everyone else.

I hope you're just joking, Mike- you posted some great stuff back in the day, but your posts lately, when you've posted at all, have been really negative.

Well I think it'd be obvious that the chance to see Mario 128 at this E3 is high, but the others are just pure speculation...Though Golden Sun is in fact leaving the handheld, there's no guarantee it will be shown(but I want it to!), and there hasn't been even a shred of proof of either KI or Kirby(a GC version, at least) at E3...

Umm...if you actually read the header the the nintendojo E3 list (easy to miss, i only caught it when I triple checked that I wasnt dreaming) you would see that all of the titles in red italics are rumored to be there, not confirmed. At least when I read it ealier today thats what it was like. All of those titles and more were in the red letters.

Silicon Knights working on Kid Icarus? Last I heard Capcom was rumored to be working on it in the form of the ressurected Dead Phoenix, which was very sikmilar to Kid Icarus in the first place.

I didn't mean serious as in you were telling the truth, Mike, I meant serious as in the sarcasm was meant derisively.

I dont know you can look at this two ways if silicon knights was planning to make a kid icarus game.  That the Silicon knights guy (his name escapes me) was so pumped about kid icarus and he already started that he decided to finsih.  The other possiblity is that KID ICarius was in the planning stages and they dropped it, or maybe handed it off to another orgainization

Yeah, really...Everyone knows Mario is all about teh mature...I mean, in the original he kills hundreds of helpless goombas and kidnaps Princess Toadstool from her hubby, Koopa...Then you have those Toads that don't seem to have a describable gender, and that whole Communist Mario thing that was going around a while ago...Not to mention the hint towards drugs I mean reallly Mario eating shrooms that's so mature I don't see why Nintendo is making Mario all cutesy omg I starting to regress blarg *faints*

right on brother! i remember "back in the day" when mario carried a glock at ALL times. these days mario is a total PANSY! he wears overalls. RED OVERALLS! the next mario game should feature the all new badass mario. for starters, he must be in normal human proportion. secondly, its time to lose the moustache, how are people supposed to believe mario is doing the "warp pipe shuffle" with peach (who will now be called felicia). mario will have 1 foot high spiked blonde hair, and sport edgy urban fashion. when mario is attacked by a goomba, he will first evade them in a matrix like manner, and then proceed to land a piece of hot metal between their eyes while whispering in a husky macho voice, "not this time goomsy..."

thats what I think mario should be all about man. *dies of sarcasm poisoning*

ps. i think its time for resident evil to grow up as well...

Why stop there?

Take Mario into 4-dimensional gaming! And I'm not talking about something lame like time control... it's up to Nintendo to revolutionize the industry again with the next Mario. They should find a way to squeeze 4 proper dimensions in there.

Anything less and people will be disappointed.

oh yeah... 4th Dimention mean is to do with time. could it b a motion sensor?? read our movement and control mario? so next time i can exercise while play game.... gimme a 4th sense also will be good, now we have visual, sound, and force (rumble)... mayb a controller that will turn hot/cold depanding where mario is....
