New Nintendo Europe Website Launches
« on: March 30, 2004, 09:12:24 PM »
We here in America think our Nintendo website is much better than your "new" .co.uk Nintendo page.

New online experience at www.nintendo.co.uk

Great new interactive features and more content for the only official Nintendo online resource

Nintendo has revamped its European website with a host of all new exciting game related features. www.nintendo.co.uk is already the number one resource for all official Nintendo information but it is now a whole lot more.

Packed full of information about all the latest and upcoming Nintendo releases, www.nintendo.co.uk is clearly an internet favourite, with more than half a million registered users and more than 3.5 million visitors per month. News, previews, hints & tips, exclusive screenshots and videos, and over 350 game reviews continue to attract gaming fans from all over the world keen to get the inside track on Nintendo.

An all new feature to the site is the introduction of 'Lounges'. These special sections can be accessed only by registered users, and contain in-depth reviews, interviews and features about the latest games for Nintendo systems. The Club Member Lounge (for users who simply register their email address with the site) gives easy access to the vast majority of site updates. But for the deluxe treatment, fans who register at least one Nintendo product can enter the VIP Lounge – and get exclusive information before anyone else.

Another new feature on the site is the Nintendo Ambassador Program, where registered members can send invitations to their friends and family to visit the website. The incentive being that the more visitors they attract to the site, the more Nintendo Stars they can earn to spend in the Nintendo Stars Catalogue. There they can exchange Stars for exclusive Nintendo products like games, T-shirts and posters plus all kinds of multimedia goodies such as screensavers and wallpapers!

With new content and features to surprise and delight Nintendo fans from all over the world, www.nintendo.co.uk is the best place to get the most up to date official Nintendo gaming information!

If you're going to insist on using Cascading Style Sheets, which rather enjoy defying Internet Explorer's Text Size commands, at least up the size of the text to one that is acceptably larger and doesn't require excessive squinting.

hopefully nintendo.com.au will follow up on this, and make its site user friendly also.
thu im sure they wouldnt add a forum, because of backlash over various things that have done (dist companys too scared to import games, not releasing nintendo games here, no annual tour for the last 2 years and the list goes on and on)

great new site thu

I hope someday they will learn to code a working page. In both Firefox and Opera the thing tells you to log in (when you're already logged in) when you click on the forums, your treasure stuff, etc. Their javascript implementation of scrollbars doesn't work, either.
