You and a lot of people.

Capcom probably won't *ever* touch Powerstone again, though.  They throw lots of stuff at a wall to see what sticks, and Powerstone did not, for some reason or another.

Well SSBM did sell well, Nintendo could convince Capcom to make Powerstone 3 into Capcom All Stars Melle 3

As a topic on IGN spurred a dream game would be Nintnedo vs. Sega, like the Capcom vs. SNK series.

Of course this would be SSBM style, not the Capcom vs. SNK style

(P.S. what does SNK stand for?)

Maybe a Nintendo vs Capcom, Link vs Ryu or megaman vs samus, or Donkey Kong vs Zangief???, that will be amazing but impossible to see in the next 10 years

The announcement isn't Ghouls N Ghost Online. That was announced awhile ago.

He was probable talking about the Factor 5 or Silicon Knights game, but it seems the announcement was pushed back to E3.

God i need an rpg.  I need a TURN-BASED RPG.  I need it now.  I am losing my mind without one.  Skies of Arcadia only created a fenzy for RPGage.  I would be so happy if it was one.  But, I am sure whatever it is, it will be quite welcoming.  any Factor 5 games are something i am really excited about.  Any new game will be nice.  Zelda is first on the ;list though

I hope its not a Mario Golf game. Seriously...what kind of lame idea was Nintendo thinking? Check this super cool idea out. Nintendo Football!l! Now theres a sports game. You could have the Nintendo All stars on one team (Mario, Peach, Yoshi,). Lugi's Allstars (Luigi is jelous of Mario so he puts his own team together.) The Bad guys (Wario, Bowser, Koopas.) Sega All Stars (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles) a Pokemon team, a Earthbound team, a Metroid team, a Starfox team, who knows what Nintendo can come up with.

I've got a question. It doesn't really pertain to this topic, but kind of. I've always wondered about the status of Factor 5. I mean, most of the games they make they release for Nintendo systems then maybe on PC, but rarely, if even, on other consoles. Why don't they just go 2nd party?

The LucasArts connection.  If they left LucasArts to join Nintendo, they wouldn't be in such a good position to work on Star Wars projects.  Sure, it'd be great to get original franchises from them, but it would end up being in lieu of, instead of in addition to, good SW games.

I would rather have Retro bring back Raven Blade, than Thunder Rally; it looked so awesome, and still looks awesome to this day.
Maybe I just like D&D action RPG type games. Hell, I would even buy the old Capcom arcade D&D (Towers of Mystra...or something like that. I don't remember) games if they made it for the cube. Those were fun games.

Never heard of it.

The reason that they don't have Nintendo football is because some characters would be obviously more apt than others, and that it only appeals to Americans.  Golf and tennis are more international.  If anything, I see soccer coming next, if it hasn't already.

No, Factor 5 is completely independant, but maintains a strong relationship with Lucasarts and Nintendo.

Free Radical Design is also completely independant. Eidos published Timesplitters 1 and 2, that's all. Their next project probably wont be published by Eidos.

I hope you realize how contradictory that statement is. If your major argument is that being bought by Nintendo would limit their potential sales, why would being bought by Sony or Microsoft be any different?

Silicon Knights is partially owned by Nintendo, unless an abrupt fall-out occurs don't expect to see any of their games to appear on other consoles. Factor 5 is fairly loyal to Nintendo, the chances of their next title being multi-platform are very low.

Factor 5 is close to Lucasarts, and use the Star Wars license quite a bit, as you can see. One of the main reasons, if not the only, is that it might affect their relationship with Lucasarts. Nintendo and Factor 5 are already very close anyway, their status for all practical purposes is 2nd party.

On the off chance that you haven't heard, it's very likely Nintendo will display a new Earthbound title at E3.

Factor 5 took the time to develop DiVX for Gamecube, and it has been said that their next game will use it heavily. (they made it so you could use video as a texture.  cool!)

The chances of their  next game being multiplatform are very small.

(plus didn't they make the gamecube sound development tools?)

Let me explain something to you guys.  It's March.  Any game being released this month, we would have known about last month, just by the sheer fact that RETAILERS would have it on their lists so that they have the opportunity to place orders for it.  You can't keep a game secret right up until the moment it hits the shelves.  Either it's a game we already know about that's being moved up, or it's a game no one cares about.  Neither constitutes a "surprise".

It would have to be a surprise game ANNOUNCEMENT, if anything.

I thought the rumor was always about an announcement from the start.

You'd have to be pretty stupid to think a secret game was coming out this month.

Just something to think about... what's the absolute minimum time before a game's release that it can be kept secret?

yeah he said that a game would be unveiled this month, not released.

there was a comment about HAL not working on a lot of games at once, but i heard they have recently grown so they can take on more games at once. hopefully we see something from them come E3 as well. i can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to see something from Silicon knights, factor 5, HAL, and all the nintendo games at E3 this year.
