And now the same announcement, from the other point of view.

Intec and Datel Electronics Form Strategic Partnership

Miami, Florida, February 4th, 2003 – Intec, Inc., a leading manufacturer of cross-platform video game accessories, and Datel Electronics, LTD, the leading developer and publisher of game enhancement products for all gaming formats, announced today that they have formed a strategic sales and marketing partnership.

The agreement provides Intec with the rights to distribute Datel’s Action Replay product line to select retailers and distributors throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. In addition, the partnership allows Intec to include specialized Action Replay sampler disks that contain cheat codes, game saves and other unique content in with their broad line of gaming peripherals and value-added bundles.

“We are extremely excited about this great opportunity to partner with a company that has been the dominant force in the technology of video game software enhancement and gaming peripherals,’ says Kevin Resnick, Intec’s Sr. Vice President of Sales. “The tens of thousands of loyal Intec consumers will now enjoy even greater value with the addition of the highly sought-after content that Datel and Action Replay deliver.”

Datel’s Action Replay, formerly known as Game Shark under the InterAct name, offers a full line of game enhancers, peripherals, and code breakers for PlayStation®, PlayStation 2 and GameBoy® Advance. Action Replay delivers all the benefits of the old GameShark brand, plus more, taking advantage of original technology and extensive code library which Datel will continue to develop and enhance. Action Replay codes will be fully compatible with previously-sold GameShark branded products.

“The decision to publish our own line of game enhancement products affords Datel the opportunity to form strategic partnerships that will most effectively establish brand identity and increase market penetration,” says Ken Tarolla, Datel Design’s Senior Vice President. “Intec shares our vision and commitment to provide the product breadth and innovation necessary to compliment the power of today’s video game technology.”

This agreement goes into effect immediately, and Intec plans to ship Action Replay products to its customer base by end of February of this year.
