Pokemon Colosseum Already Racking Up Sales
« on: March 05, 2004, 11:07:47 PM »
It's the top selling game on Amazon, and it won't be released for three more weeks.

DID YOU KNOW?

Pokémon Colosseum Hits #1 on Amazon.com

March 5, 2004 – Pokémon Colosseum™ is the No. 1 video game product on Amazon.com! Even though the game won't hit stores for another three weeks, Pokémon Colosseum, made exclusively for Nintendo GameCube™, and its pre-sell bonus disk are already outselling every software title and video game console on Amazon.com. People who pre-order the game get the pre-sell disc, which contains exclusive Pokémon® extras, including a sneak peek of the upcoming Pokémon movie, a preview of the Pokémon Colosseum game and the ability to unlock the secret Pokémon character Jirachi. The Pokémon franchise has enjoyed uninterrupted success: In 2003, Pokémon® Ruby and Pokemon® Sapphire for Game Boy® Advance were the second and third best-selling video games of the year. Pokémon Colosseum hits stores on March 22.

Eh, just wondering what Bloodworth meant by his comment "See, Nintendo, bonus discs ARE good." Nintendo's the one that made bonus discs popular in recent times, and Wind Waker's bonus disc made it the most preordered game in history. I think Nintendo already recognizes their benefits, unless I misunderstood what Daniel was saying.

Yeah, they have been doing more and more, I just wanted to drive it home since it's still like only the fourth or fifth one from them.   I decided to get rid of it though.

Just more proof that Pokémon will NEVER EVER die. Although it may go away for awhile but in that unlikly case it'll just come back stronger.

Bonus disks are always good...although it'd be nice to have some actual figures from Amazon rather than the somewhat vague "No. 1".
