MArio Kart Double Dash get!
I swore to myself that I wouldn't get it till next week, but my legs just walked by themselves, and my hand grabbed the keycard inside my wallet and i was like 'No! Hand, don't use the money form your bank account! You're wasting it! NOOO!' And my hand just gave the EB guy the card, he swiped it, and gave me my brand new copy of MK.
And here I am, at home, typing this post, reading the fat ass MK manual (look! there's the LAN setup at the back of it!!!), and I have no photo to show (like i usually do when i get new games), and I haven't even played it yet!
Oh, and you guys know that steering wheel pre-order deal thingy? When i bought MK, the guy there said 'do you want a steering wheel for 10 bucks extra?' and i was like 'huh? thought you had to preorder to get it' and he goes 'yeah, but we have three leftover, do you want it?' and iwas like 'nah'.
Should I have taken it?
Either way, it's too late now

You made the right choice, Termin8. The steering wheel is a Thrustmaster one, which explains the $10 pricetag, and its not that good either.

Erm, yep. I got Double Dash. I discovered we had junk mail falling out of the letter box this morning. Browse? Y/N. I decide to browse. Oooh, Big W catalogue. They have MK: DD for $88! I took it into EB and they price matched. Seeing as I'd already paid the game off fully, it was pretty nifty getting handed $12 out of the cash register. >=)
Yay for cool EB guy! Oh yeah, other GC news a matic I learned via learning ways, Capcom Europe have thrown another 5000 copies of VJ at us! All YELLOW! Return of the King is already out on GC and Xbox. PS2 PAL version has been delayed a whole day for some obscure reason, and EB Parra have had no word at all about when they will get the BBA in. Erm.. =/

I really don't know how to feel about the game at the moment. No, I'm not blown away by it. Yet. The CPU still doesn't try to compete with itself (The same CPU racers will come 2nd and 3rd in every race, there's never a change), one view point, the jump is gone, powerslides are now very easy to pull off, which is kinda boring and erm, the music is bland and VERY MIDI-ish.

On a plus side, some of the tracks are freaking brilliant, and the sheer chaos on screen is hilarious at times. Baby Circuit or whatever it's called is one of the most boring tracks ever, (a simple oval), but it's littered with power ups. By the third lap, you have green shells zipping all over the place, bananas (and GIANT bananas) all over the track, and explosions every few seconds. Yay! And erm, the game is hard. Very hard. F-Zero GX type hard. On 150cc that is.

Oh yeah.. DONKEY KONG'S TRACK IS THE BEST THING EVER. The end.

Its true what he said..its hard..the tracks are better then the pre cessores and the specials add allot of startegy to the game..multiplayer is good but i like single player more..Baby park rules..its soooo chatic and i love it..

yeah, i'm not too blown away by the game either.
But if you have a chance to play multiplayer, then do so. NOW.
It is more worthwhile than MK64.
Multiplayer in MKDD saved it by a mile. And in some cases, I'm actually leaning toward AGREEING with Fran's review at IGNCube.
Shine Theif is all I've played, and I've played that more than single player. I already have all gold trophies on 50cc and 100cc.

I haven't tried 150cc yet, but if 100cc is anything to go by, it will be more chaotic and fast-pace. DK Mountain is CARAYZEE! Baby Park is only cool cause of the absolute mayhem that goes on with countless bananas, shells and fake item boxes.
And that two player on one kart thing is actually pretty cool. Me and my sister aren't just sitting there like zombies racing each other.
We're like 'ok, you wanna swap? Ok, 1, 2, 3, NOW! Press Z! You didn't press Z! PRess it now!' and for the double dash it's like 'NOW! Aww no!' 'I wanna use my weapon now!'
It really is co-op play.
