Yay Viewtiful Joe and Animal Crossing are awesome!

I got Animal Crossing at 12pm, and the EB guy said they weren't getting Viewtiful Joe in until a bit later, so i hung around a bit... waiting for it. I played some Jak II, which is a brilliant game, im definately getting that sometime, then it froze, and i just backed away and pretend nothing happened. VJ still hadnt arrived, it was 12.10pm now. I attempted to play the N-Gage but it froze as soon as i pressed a button, so i pressed all the buttons to try and fix it, and it made a cracking sound, i think i might have broken it or something, so i slowly backed away from it.

It was about 12.20pm now, still no sign of Viewtiful Joe. So i walked around a bit and found a GC kiosk and played some Soul Calibur 2 with some guy ive never met before. It was pretty fun, would have been more fun if you had more than 2 characters to choose from though, stupid demo. We played that for about an hour, still no sign of Viewtiful Joe, i was getting worried that maybe EB werent gonna get it today after all.

It was about 3pm now, i was just hanging around EB... bored... and then i saw some guy come in wheeling some cardboard boxes, i went ", Viewtiful Joe must be in there!". To my lack of surprise, Viewtiful Joe was in there. I grabbed it and ran, since i had already paid for it.

Finally i was home, with Animal Crossing and Viewtiful Joe in my hands.

I popped in Viewtiful Joe first, and woah what an awesome game. I love it, pure old school 2D goodness mixes with modern cel-shaded graphics, awesome gameplay mechanics and a suberb, intuitive and fun fighting system. Capcom, THANK YOU for this freaking gem of a game. I am so proud of being on of the thousand people in Australia who will end up having a copy of Viewtiful Joe. I got the Pink box by the way, thats the only colour my EB recieved, so i didnt have a choice. I would have choose pink anyway though.

Then i gave Animal Crossing a go, started playing... kept playing... and playing. God damn this game is addictive! The graphics are nothing special but that doesnt matter, i love the charm of this game, and all the stuff that would normally be boring in real life, is fun in this game. But im a bit pissed with it at the moment though because i decided to go on the train to see what would happen, and ended up losing all my items and cash. Im off to a great start. Yay.

I'm happy i picked up two very good games.

And one more thing, i heard an EB guy say that F-Zero GX was coming out tommorow. Not really sure though.

Haha...Doesn't it say in the instruction book not to go on the train unless you have someone else's memory card in slot B?

But yes, AC was probably my longest running game...From September of last year to January of this year...This was an N64 port; just think of the possibilities for the next one!

Sorry I didn't stick around Piac.  Just the 1/2 hour I spent on the forum helped me get the stuff off my mind that was keeping me up and then I was very tired.

I like Doshin the Giant, but must admit that I've only been able to sit down once for about 1/2 an hour to play it.  I've been too busy recently to play much.  Especially to start a new game. I will say that I like that you can change the landscape in the game.  You can pull the land up out of the water or jump on solid ground and have it become part of the ocean.   It's kinda cool to have so much influence over the environment.  Sometimes, though, the landscape changing can be a pain.  The people will ask you to help lift or lower parts of the land.  If you don't lift/lower the EXACT right area they become unhappy.  It takes a bit of practice but it does get smoother.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.  Maybe you can tell me the wonders of the game once you get into it.  You'll probably get much further in before I do.

Really......?

From what these keen ears have gathered, Doshin the Giant was asi-asi.  Like, y'know, cool and stuff @ teh beginingignign but then got like....boring....

Like, all you don is help villagers? Move around landscape.  Kill people.  Turn Evil.  Turn Nice again.
....Sounds like AC only without the fun. :\

Meh...I'm sure it's actually really good.  Just doesn't seem like the right game for me.  Me gusta juegar videojuegos.  Me no gusta Doshin the Giant, probablemente...quiza...yo piense.

Yo no gusta la clase de espanol.  Espanol es no divertido. :\

im at episode 5 and have to say that the episode 4 boss ( i know his name just dont wanna add any spoilers ) is the best ever boss fight in the history of mankind. BEST EVER BOSS. THE gfx ARE viewtiful and sound is the best ( i love the episode 2 soundtrack ). my only gripe is that Joe is slow ( that rymes ) and that the opening scene had lots of glitches. ( Joe had his hand poking through his chest etc.

What part of the California are you from Ms. Pikmin?  I saw that you were wanting some concert tickets for Northern California is how I know that much.  I am originally from San Jose, but am in Marina right now for school at CSUMB.

PIAC is right, I am some sort of forum zombie most of the times.  I have been known to pull all nighters in back to back weeks, and stay up till 4 or 5 in the morning most of the time.

But hey, at least I get in a few good hours of chillin with coo people, even if they are almost on the other side of the globe.
Pietriots, we roll out to get the lol out.

I shall not return til I have my copy of VJ, which I will play until I cannot see, so I will be even longer to return to the forums, because all these Aussies (you know who you are) are lucky pricks!
