its a monkey from Monkey Island(tm)! you feed this one six banana's and he holds a nose on a totem pole and you can go see the second biggest monkey head guybrush has ever seen, unfortunatly for the monkey he hangs there for quite a while, but he does make a comeback in the intro of Monkey Island (tm) 2 in the intro, there are 3 of them! (thats where the animation for this comes from)

i also stole it from some guy on Penny-Arcade forums

FRIDAY IS NINTENDO GAMECUBE DAY

I was just listening to the radio, the "Hot 30", and they said something about "Stay tuned for NINTENDO GAMECUBE day on Friday" i went "?!".

Nintendo advertising! NINTENDO ADVERTISING!

About half a million teens listen to the "Hot 30" as well, so this is good! VERY GOOD! Well done Nintendo Australia, this is a good start. And you know what else is happening on Friday? SOUL CALIBUR 2!

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Mario: Why are you listening to that garbage? Don't you know it rots your brain.

And Nintendo advertising? Good start? GOOD START!?!?! GOOD F***ING START?!?!?! *explodes*

Friday doesn't matter. I'm gonna get myself SC2 and lock myself away until the Grand Final! Woo!

PIAC: Urge to get FF:TA rising.
I saw one of the ads on TV just now. Another great confusing ad. You can tell Nintendo was behind that one too. And now I want to play it. I can't explain how I came to that conclusion. I do some really stupid things sometimes, like singing karaoke to Bohemian Rhapsody while drunk, so I guess that explains it. But that's a story for another day.

WOAH!

I just saw a MARIO ad too! On channel ten. It had Mario running around a plane and into screens and stuff and it looked so awesome! It was an ad for singapore airlines or something and how they have great entertainment. And i hear there's a FFTA ad? Woah this is awesome! Now all we need is some GAMECUBE ads...

I've seen the FFTA commercial.  When it started, I was like, "This is weird enough to be a GBA commercial," and it turns out it was.  Go figure

I love the dancing monkey, don't change it.  Hear me PIAC, don't change it.  Well you can if you really want, but I have mastered my soldier skills, and all but one ninja skill.

I haven't seen a FFTA commercial, but then again it's hard to see a commercial when you are playing the game in question.  Go figure.

These forums are like a zombie or something, dead but not quite.  Took me over a half hour just to get the aussie thread open.  If this keeps up I will have to stop coming here for a while, I just don't have the time to wait that long to open ONE page, and then another half hour to get back to the springboard or whatever you want to call it, the place wher eyou select the topic you want to read.  As if it forgot that it just spent an hour loading it, and wants to do it all again.  Okay, end of that rant.

I had three days off last week from work.  One because I went to the doctor, and the other two because of Isabel.  Yay, I got 16.5 hours last week, I could have used vacation time, but I really ain't hurting for money at the moment.  hehe.  At least I still have lasts week paycheck I still have to deposit, so I still have that money.

PIAC, did you get my PM over at GFF?  I'm there too if you didn't know.

FSFS probably means nothing, and if it does PIAC probably won't tell.  He's a secretive ninja with high level ninja skills, like Double Sword and Oblivion.

HERE COMES INFERNAL! *Opens PGC door holding a melted ice cream*
Aw, I missed the party. It seems you can miss alot in two days of non-active posting-activity-I'm-just-making-stuff-up-now.

Saw that FF:TA advance advert last night. NOW LET US NEVER EVER SPEAK OF IT AGAIN. Holy crap, it was almost as bad as when Nintendo Australia made their own Game & Watch Gallery 4 advert... *Shudders*

ANNNNND, got to play teh new demo disk yesterday, in BIG W! WHY IS THAT SHOCKING? BECAUSE THE BIG W HERE STOPPED SUPPORTING GAMECUBE LAST NOVEMBER! NOW THEY'RE PIMPING IT ALL OVER THE SOUND AND VISUAL DEPARTMENT! THREE GAMECUBE KIOSKS! A SHELVE FULL OF NOTHING BUT STAR FOX ADVENTURES AND RESIDENT EVIL (-_-) AND POSTERS! PPOOOOOOSSSSTERS!

VJ kicks so much ass. I got confused on the Cowboy boss thingy.
THEN I SELECTED F-ZERO AND BOGGED MY PANTS. Holy crap it's fun. The demo disk only runs in 50Htz, too (I resetted and held down b, no 6Htz option), so the demo isn't nearly as fast as what will be thrown at us in October!

I got your letter the other day, Nitsu, but for some odd reason, it flooded my letter box. Then I ran around town screaming "IM ALL WET!".

True story. Awesome avatar, PIAC!

Mario: Nah, that's not a real Mario ad. It's for Singapore Airline's entertainment system, which has Super Mario Brothers and stuff.

BUPBOW FOR ABSOLUTELY IRRELEVANT ADS!

As for PIAC's avatar, let me say one thing:
*WEIRDED OUT*

And PGC isn't that bad is it? *shrugs*

Hey mario! Didn't I tell you guys about that Singapore Airlines ad a while back?

NOW you believe me............
And SHifty, I know it's not for NIntendo, but the fact that the ad is all about Mario, and Nintendo's partnership with the airline, does it really matter? It's Nintendo on TV (and the cinema, which is where i saw it)!!!!

And even though the Hot 30 Countdown is crap in terms of all that teeny 'WOW COOL! THIS IS HOT! YOU HAVE TO GET INTO THIS OR YOU ARE NOT HIP! HAVE YOU BEEN IN A LESBIAN RELATIONSHIP? RING US NOW AND YOU COULD WIN A TRIP TO THE COOLEST PLACE ON EARTH, HICKSVILLE USA! WE DARE YOU TO RING UP YOU FRIEND AND ASK IF THEY WANT A THREESOME AND YOU COULD WIN SOME TICKETS TO KYLE'S HOUSE!!!!!!'
at least they are promoting Gamecube and not Xbox or PS2, which they have done millions of times.
It IS a smart movie by advertising with this crowd, cause this is the toughest crowd to market to, and Sony and MS are just relying on the fact that they are perceived as 'cool'.
It could be good, so I'll be listening in.

*some how gets TWO avatars of the dancing monkey* the monkey is my friend </girvoice>

Ikaruga arived in the mail today, im kinda disapointed there is no dodgy engrish pronouncments of things though, in Gigawing 2 for Dreamcast (awsome game, kinda short, 4 player) in the menu the characters (i guess, all the text other than the menu's was in japanese) were said by japanese people, so it came out all hilarious like SEWPAH ATTK MOD! (super attack mode) GAHLARRY MOD! (gallery mode) and probably the best WANKING (ranking) oh fun times were had by all, but err yeah, Ikaruga is an awsome game, Mr Shabadu also has it i belive, i played it for five minutes just before and its all hard and cool everyone go and.... buy it off ebay -____- *kicks australia* now i have TWO rare games! (skies and ikaruga) weeeeeee.

and no, i didn't get your PM at GFF, i sort of... well gave up posting there, and GIF, im lazy and can only post at one forum

Termin8: Bleh, I don't like that ad at all. I've heard of promotion, but that's just plain whoring of Mario. If they wanted some decent promotion, get some real games in those planes, like Super Mario 64 or something, and put huge Nintendo stickers on the plane. Now THAT'S PROMOTION!

Woo! Three more sleeps to SC2! Woo!

And to pull the thread away from PIAC's monkey (it's cool, damn cool actually), I've had the Butterfly Effect's album, Begins Here, on repeat for the past three days. Awesome stuff. Anyone else heard this one?
