YES! *jumps up and down like homer simpson trying to reach a beer on the shelf above him* And my EB says that the free bonus disk will also come with a free memory card 59!!!! Good to hear the Pokemon cartoon is coming back, and with the Pokemon games coming out a week after and a movie in the near future, those little monsters are gonna invade Australia once again. Oh yeah and http://www.informbd.com.au/i3/html/Top%2010%20GCN%20Games.html (the game only came out on March 7, 2 days in the chart) Resident Evil Zero is now my precious lovechild, it has captured me, im serious, the game is fugin brilliant. I swear its worth getting for the cutscenes alone, they take my breath away and theres no pauses like in Remake.

PS: Did anyone get the members newsletter from Nintendo Australia, its got a cool competition, is anyone here gonna enter it?

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

OH SH!T!!!!! I think all the peaople who signed that petition can rest easy. And there were quite a few people who said that if Nintendo of Australia didn't bring the pre-prder deal here, that they would leave NIntendo and buy other consoles. Well, they can eat their own words and come celebrate, cause it's the day that NOA finally listens to our cries of despair! And they will surely listen to our praise. I think that this is something that should be advertised now, since it is a pre-order deal after all.

I gotta head over to Funland Games and ask them if they're on Nintendo's list of stores that are gonna get this deal, or else I gotta pre-order with EB.

Oh, and EB said today that SMB won't be coming out until Monday/Tuesday. Only a few more days. And I traded in XG3. But guess how much it fetched in store credit? A measly $27! Rip-off! I got the game barely a month ago. Christ!

$27 for XG3? That's actually quite good...

And yeah, I'm actually not quite sure if we have to pre-order to get the bonus disc. NOAus havn't mentioned that we have to pre-order, just that there will be a special edition 2 disc set type thing..

Ah well, at least it's actually coming.

Im Game Freak now! Anyway, i just went back to school, im doing English, Maths, IT, Software, Art (only 7 other people in my class) and modern history. Damn year 11, too much work, i need more time to play GC and GBA. I like how Metroid Prime and Pokemon come out just before the holidays, gives me time to play them heaps. Anyway, good thread RABicle, go away yanks!

EDIT: Oh yeah, does anyone know when the next Nintendo gamer will actually be on the shelves, the only one that i can find is the Metroid Prime one, its says the next issue should be available January 29th, but it isnt.

I prefer Australian Cube to Nintendo Gamer you should have a look at it i think it's better than NG

Yeah, ive seen Australian Cube and it looks pretty cool, but ive stopped buying magazines now simply because its a waste of money to buy a bunch of articles that you read two weeks ago on the internet. Actually i only buy magazines for the posters now

Anyway, i was listening to 2day FM and they were pimping the Gamecube like theyres no tomorow. They bring up the fact that you can win a Nintendo Gamecube with Rayman 3 like every 5 seconds, and they were talking about Metroid Prime as if it was the coming of christ. I think were gonna start seeing some Gamecube ads soon, probably for Metroid. It sucks that we didnt get the huge RE0 ad campaign that Europe got.

Actually, we should start seeing MP adverts anytime now. I remember PGC had an article saying Nintendo Australia were going to have a MASSIVE television advertising campain for the Metroid Pak (GameCube, MP, and MP cover plate thingy)

While good, it has me slightly worried, because it may mean we won't be seeing the kick ass advert that was present in the US, but rather a crappy Australian made advert (Think of the Mario Party 4 advert.... *Sad face*)

Oh, and this is a milestone for my local EB, they've actually got giant posters around advertising Metroid Prime and even Super Monkey Ball 2! Keep in mind that Blacktown's EB World basically hate the GameCube! Good signs!

Anyway, they better bloody have Sonic Mega Collection there on Monday... I can't stand it anymore! I only just read that in this collection, you'll be able to play as Knuckles in Sonic 1! YOU COULDN'T DO THAT ON THE MEGADRIVE WITH THE HOOK-UPS! ARG, ME WANT GAME NOW!

O. M. F. G! SH!t, sorry Metroid, but Sonic Mega Collection is sooooooooo mine on Monday...

*goes up to his chalkboard, writes all the good and bad points of SMC and Metroid, then tries to devise a plan to get enough money for both games, starts drawing knuckles* aww what the hell, Sonic Mega Collection GET!

PS: Im praying that we dont get a crappy Metroid advert, this game deserves so much more than that, bring on the awesome US ones, or even better, the Japanese ones... Or maybe both rolled into one advert, coz the US one didnt have much gameplay footage... *shrugs shoulders*

I don't think there is any better reply than your one Mario (above).

This year will truly usher in a new age (Hey, I love Eternal Darkness)!

OK, SMB2 and SMC come out Monday. Metroid in April, Zelda in May.
And Nintendo of Australia PROMISE a massive ad campaign from their website.
This had better come to fruition.
And with all this excitement among us, these will be good times.
Hopefully, the Metroid ads are shown at ALL times of day. So no 1am ads when no-one is watching.
I'll bet there's gonna be huge support from Cheez TV, since Pokemon is back on the 24th, and Pokemon, is well, all Nintendo. So from 7-7.30am, watch Cheez TV on Channel 10. Something might show early.

In the words of a true blue Aussie, Big Kev:
I'm Excited!

All my friends have their own cars. I don't. All money goes toward a better Gamecube game collection, and soon, a GBA SP. I have no need of worry of a new PC, cause that's what mums and dads are for.

My parents don't play games. My mum asked me a couple of months ago where do you turn on the computer, all the while pressing the reset button. Ahh, sweet mothers who only know the conditions of the house and the kids. God bless her.

Puzzle games? Hah! My parents only know the puzzles in the Women's Weekly magazines and the kids section of the newspaper. Electronic games are for those who wish to rot their brains. More power to us, I say.

Email from Nintendo of Australia! Importmant PokemonRuby/Sapphire and Game Boy Advance SP event in Sydney!

Full details:

"As a Nintendo.com.au Member you are the first to know about an amazing
opportunity to take part in an upcoming record attempt.

Do you have the skill and stamina to compete in a knock out event to become the
Australian champion of the longest Game Boy play-off ever?

Seventy competitors will be chosen to battle it out on the brand new Game Boy
Advance SP units playing Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire in a knock out competition to
find the Game Boy Play Off Champion of Australia.

If you live in Sydney and believe you possess the expertise to compete in this
amazing one off event, look in Thursday's Daily Telegraph on March 20th for
details on what the Championship involves and a special e-mail address to
register for competition.

The winner of this event will receive two return Economy Class tickets to
Singapore flying Singapore Airlines. On the way, they'll enjoy KrisWorld, the
world's most advanced inflight entertainment system featuring over 30 Nintendo
games. They'll also receive a year's supply of Nintendo Australia product to
keep them busy when on the ground.

The event will be held in Darling Harbour (in front of the Imax theatre), on
Saturday 29th March between 1:00pm - 8:00pm."

A RECORD ATTEMPT? I'm going! But I'm not THAT good at Pokemon! AND A FULL YEAR'S SUPPLY OF NINTENDO AUSTRALIA products? Dunno if that means games or toys, but GEEZ!

It's a BIG Nintendo of Australia AD campaign everybody! And if you live in Sydney, get going on the 29th down to Darling Harbour!

Heh, can't wait till the 29th. Hell yeah, I'm going into the city to play upcoming GC games and laugh at the losers of the Pokemon contest. Plus I might even get the chance to kick Pikachu in the groin until he coughs up vital organs. I'm actually excited about this day!

There seems to be some sort of problem here. I think that all the store shelves have been duped by Nintendo of Australia. When they say that games are gonna be released, they ACTUALLY mean aproximately 3 weeks later. So really, we could be seeing SMB2 and SMC actually being released next month. And Metoid in May, Zelda in June.

Of course, I could be wrong.

Right now, I am sitting in the uni library typing this up (I'm not supposd to be here, I only allowed to be on for study purposes only. Oooooooh...I got busted once, and now I'm on the corner computer, looking every now and then around my shoulder.....Ooooooooh), and I'm eagerly awaiting the call from EB to pick up my copy of Super Monkey Ball 2 (on my mobile).

*waits patiently............................*
*checks computer task bar. It's 3:00pm*

Damn! I have a tutorial now. Gotta go! See y'all later tonight.
