What happens to old topics?
« on: February 03, 2004, 10:39:51 AM »
Do they get deleted? Because I'm looking for one of my older topics, but I fear it has been deleted.

It was started by me, and called "Custom Game" and it was in the Gamecube Discussion forum.

i sense a *bump* coming on...
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

basically a useless post with teh soul purpose of 'bumping' a topic back to page 1, on most forums it's a pretty contemptable act, unless ofcourse you are reviving an old thread with some new information, bumping purely just to bump a topic is bad.

also Nintendo Gamecube you might not be able to find it because it's gone past what ever limit you've set in your options i think the default is 90 days, so any topic older than that is no-longer visable, i've got mine set to 9999 or what ever days
OUT OF DATE.

doo da doo...

edit:  Maybe i shouldn't link to it for him.  the last 3 posts on it were his, and the last 2 were just bumps.

A day late? I posted it 8 minutes after he asked. You're starting to freak me out, here, Bill.

I always miss little things like that, often leaving me very confused. Thanks for explaining that, Ms.Pikmin.

You can fix this "problem" in your profile settings, actually.  Under "Personal Options", change the value in the field "I would like to see the last _____ days of topics when I enter a category".  I'd just set it to some high value, since old threads don't really get in the way.  Mine's set to 9000.
