Ok, I just want a straight answer: I don't have any GBAs, and I don't know anybody that can play this game with me, so I'll be playing the entire game by myself, it's still worth to get it?
We really can't answer this for you. I enjoyed it, and that's what I spent most of my time doing, but others, including Jonny don't feel it's worth it to play alone. If you can't determine whether you'd like it from my review, your best bet is to rent it first, and then decide.

When you create your chracter you have 4 variations. If you choose 1 can you customize it anyhow?
I already answered this for you man. There is no character customization. The camera's too zoomed out most of the time for it to matter anyways. Also, there are eight variations of each race (four male four female) not just four.

1) You've mentioned that if you're playing a multiplayer quest you can also play a bit of single player to strengthen your player but can everyone do this or just the main (first) player?
There is no "main character." You have complete freedom to use any characters at any time with four max in one session, and eight maximum characters per save file. I started with one character, and then ditched him for another a couple years into the game, and made about six characters just to get a feel for them.

2) Also, in two player mode do you only get two of the information screens on the gbas or do you get to switch between all 4? (if only two, which ones?)
Hmm... I'm not sure on this, but I think it basically gives you two of the four screens randomly as you proceed to different parts of the dungeon.

3) Is the game easier in two player to account for the fact that you have less players?
The AI and puzzles do not change. The only difference is that when there are more targets, it becomes harder to predict who an enemy might attack. Some of the later stages have puzzles that require multiple players or clever coordination with your moogle, making it incredibly difficult if you play alone.
