Dont we wish lol, but wouldnt it be great if capcom and silicon knights co developed a survival horror game for gamecube (or n5). I can only imagine how that can turn out. SKs attention to detail and gameplay matched with capcom's production values. A game with the writing, atmosphere, voice acting, sound affects and ease of control of eternal darkness plus the character design and capcom's level of graphic detail. It would be a match made in heaven lol. Hey, you never know, it could happen, SK is already working with Konami, maybe Capcom aint far down the ride. Colabs seem to be the way nintendo and its affiliates are going now adays and I'm all for it lol. Let me know what you think and of any other colaps you think could be good for gamecube (or n5 given the time frame of developement lol)

sillycawn NiGHTS should work with Silicon Knights, true story, an epic tail would ensue, a tail of kangaroo sized preportions.

seriously, while some good could come from such a meeting, it's ultimatly a bad idea, companies should do their own thing, their own brand of games shines out the clearer that way, too many cooks spoil the broth

I feel you, I would like to see more of SK's own work but colabs are great in more ways than 1. They do usually create great games but it also opens the individual companies to new ways of thinking and developing. Companies sharing some of their secrets and developement techniques lead to better individual efforts in the long run.

SK's getting enough flak for not working on their own franchises now, two games in a row would be a bit much. I think co-operation is Nintendo's main scheme for both improving their relations with 3rd parties and freeing up their own 1st partes. They're also buying smaller 2nd parties in North America, which can't be a bad thing if they're all half as good as Retro.

yeah nintendo seems to have an eye for talent, they got rare when they were relatively small and working under nintendo helped rare put out some good games. Then thier's the people that created pokemon, dont remember the name of the group lol. Retro was just created and look at how good they came out to be under nintendo's guidence and patience lol since they never rush anyone to put out their products coughsonycough. SK is another small company that got its recognition from their legacy of kain game on ps1 and now they under nintendo put out a classic called eternal darkness and has one of the most anticipated games in a long while (too human). I wonder who else nintendo has their eyes on lol.

If the colaborations are anything at all like the cross-training between Britain's SAS' Counter Revolutionary Warfare unit, the British Special Boat Service, U.S. Army 1-SFOD Delta, and the U.S. Navy Special Warfare Developent Group, then that's a good thing.

A good francise for them to use for that is the Legend of Zelda. They may make a good "realistic" Zelda that many have been whining about.

Seriously i dont understand all the fuss over collaborations. Why cant anyone just go and make a good game ON THEIR OWN! Sure I know they will need funding from the publisher but I dont see why companies should have to 'work togethor' on a title. And just because they do doesn't always turn out for the better, the clashing of ideas can result in some games turning out to be real messy pieces of work.
