Mario Kart 64
« on: January 18, 2004, 05:45:09 PM »
I think that I am one of the most die hard Kart fans on the face of this planet (Kart for 64). I'm just curious to see how many people could compete with me. I'd be interested in seeing some times from people who think they're good. Thanks... <I'm new by the way>

the cyber gauntlet has been thrown it would seem, stick up some screenies as proof of your alleged skill, and i'll challenge you justly.

hmm... a timetrial page would be cool. about the screens, i may do some screens, but i really started this thread to compare times with other people, and assume they're not lying. i didn't really intend to hold a bloodthirsty kart pride battle. im willing to believe other people's times, and its up to you whether or not you wanna believe mine <which for all i know may not be terribly impressive, thats why im interested to see how other people have done with this game>. ill try to post my times later today. ralph out.

i think you're going to have a hard time getting people to drag out the old 64s for some kart action.  perhaps you should redirect your efforts to the gamecube version?

"Could compete with you"?  If you're talking about 4 player races, then anyone who can hold the A button down can compete with you.  That's how MK is designed - so that anyone can win, despite skill, or lack thereof (to a certain extent).  But if you mean time trial, then I think I could compete with you.  I'm pretty good.

Yeah, I like the site too.  I've uploaded 3 scores from my file.  The stages and their times are:

Mushroom Bridge 1:38.677
Bowser's Castle 3:09.416
Waluigi's Stadium 2:05.676

I have more, but the name I used is not related to my pgc username.  I will have to beat them again with this one before I upload them.

BTW Pale, I'm glad you made this site.  I have already gotten bored with Double Dash already.  But now, your scores give me a reason to play this game again and to try even harder.  Thanks a lot.

Thanks for the kind words.  Myxtika1, you don't have to worry about the name entry on the game matching your current user name.  I'll just take it for whatever it is.  Thats why I don't allow ties.  Its gonna start out slow obviously, but hopefully it will grow.  Any suggestions for other games I should add?  And why aren't there any other pokepinball players out there?

All of them in theory....I think the next game i may be adding is Karaoke Revolution...  Its really simple for me to add games cause of the way i designed it so as long as i have a good understanding of what the top scores can be in, I can add a game in seconds now.

Sure, but I don't have it so you'll have to give me a break down of all the different races or something....email me if you get the time to throw them all down and I'll put it up.

Hey Pale, for the MK: DD page, I was wondering if you can add the user's name and the top score next to the link for each course.  Would that be feasible and easily accomplished?

The cool thing about most high score games is that it does store them, so if you ever get your hands on a camera you can take a whole bunch of pics and submit a bunch of scores.  I have to update it with some faster versions of my times.

I got 7 more Double Dash screens up.  They are:

Daisy Cruiser - 2:02.668
Dino Dino Jungle - 2:11.848
Dry Dry Desert - 2:01.115
Luigi Circuit - 1:34.291
Mario Circuit - 1:50.777
Sherbet Land - 1:34.835
Wario Colosseum - 2:30.751

I am enjoying this.  How come nobody else is participating?  Zoidberg? Ralph? Anyone else?
