ACCLAIM ENTERTAINMENT, INC. ENTERS INTO EXCLUSIVE GLOBAL PUBLISHING AGREEMENT WITH BATTLEBORNE ENTERTAINMENT, INC.

Next-Generation Title to Be Announced in 2004

GLEN COVE, NY, December 22, 2003 - Acclaim Entertainment, Inc.
(NASDAQ.SC: AKLM), today announced that it has entered into an exclusive
global publishing agreement with Reno-based developer BattleBorne
Entertainment, Inc. for their soon-to-be announced video game for the
next-generation gaming systems.  Comprised of former members of the
celebrated Fallout 2, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Tom Clancy's
Ghost Recon teams, BattleBorne is currently utilizing the critically
acclaimed Snowblind Studios technology and their own proprietary tools
to develop the game.

"We are very pleased to enter into this publishing agreement with
BattleBorne," said Rod Cousens, Chief Executive Officer of Acclaim.
"We're confident that consumers will be equally excited when we unveil
the game next month on our web site."

"Acclaim's aggressive and forward-thinking approach to the industry made
them the obvious choice to work with," added James Kosta, President of
BattleBorne Entertainment, Inc.  "BattleBorne has been hard at work on
this title since 2002 and we believe that our technology, combined with
that of Snowblind Studios, is going to impress everyone who sees the
game."

Acclaim is responsible??? Probably crap.

Turok - CRAP
XXX BMX - CRAP
ANY of their sports - CRAP CRAP CRAP

Only decent game from them was Burnout.

Everything else CRAP.

Thank god they dropped supporting the GameCube...it'd be a shame to not get more CRAP.

BTW, Crash, Burnout and Burnout 2 sucked too...and lets not forget the Legends of Wrestling series...the only semi-decent games they make are the Extreme G games (and they kinda suck too).  If acclaim is gonna put out a good game someone will have to identify what it looks like...cause they wouldn't know a good game if it bit them on the...well, you know

At Acclaim recently they do crappy games, because the best programmers of Iguana left and found Retro Studios, with some good programmers of other companies like Rare and Id Software. Metroid Prime is a wonderful game for some reason...

Eh, I don't believe any ex-Rare employees work at Retro- you're thinking of Free Radical and Zoonami. Retro does have some ex-Valve employees, though.

Burnout 2, next to F-Zero GX, is my favorite Gamecube racer. I seriously cannot get enough of that game. It's like nicotine lace crack. o_O

They don't call them Ack-Lame for nothing.  BattleBorne could be the most talented developer ever and this game will probably still be average at most.  Acclaim just doesn't give their games enough development time to be classics.  They're the masters of taking a good idea and ruining it due to laziness.  Midway, Edios, and the defunct 3DO are pretty much the same way (though Midway's classic arcade game were at least good).

Whatever happened to that whole thing about Acclaim not developing for the Cube anymore?  I was really looking forward to all those games we wouldn't have to put up with.

Note that no platforms are announced, so this game may not be released on GameCube anyway.  We just went ahead and posted the news, since the possibility is open.

Knowing Acclaim, it WON'T released on Nintendo's next console, and I bet you'll they've already decided that.

BattleBorne must be a new company, because I've never heard of them. Hopefully this game will be somewhat decent. A new company and a company who only puts out mediocre titles...should be interesting to see what they can put put.
