Topic: Tough Christmas Buys.... Please Help

Christmas is here soon and thus I must get some games. As most of you know I have a GCN and I have narrowed it down between these 4, yes 4. From these I may only get two. I have been debating and argueing with myself but I cant decide. Im a fan of action and RPG, like strategy and thinking in games. Ideally Id like to get one RPG, one Action from these.

-Prince of Persia- Everyone been saying great stuff about this but it seems to easy. Also I dont see what I should be excited about in this game, whats so grand?? Nevertheless it got awesome reviews.... and looks tempting graphically.

-Beyond Good and Evil- This looks awesome, but everyones saying its too short. Gameplay looks terrific, stunned and awed me. Another major one Im debating over. Cant decide between it and PoP or whether I should just get both of them.

and

-Gladius- Id love to get this . A gladiator RPG, lots of strategy. A long game. Sounds perfect for me but the damn reviews are so much lower than the rest of these games. Thats the only thing holding me back.

-Skies of Arcadia Legends- I have no RPGs sadly for GCN and desperatly want to change this. I heard SoAL is a great RPG but Im worried about its overall focus, and its a bit old.

Any help is appreciated, thankyou. In case your wondering Im already getting VJ, MP5, and FFTA.

if you really want rpgs for your gamecube then i would go with skies of arcadia and beyond good and evil- both are very very excellent games- but if you just want 2 really good games go with beyond and prince of persia
skies is a very good game- the gameplay is good, the battle system is good, and the story will keep you interested- beyond good and evil is a game in the vein of zelda- but it is very good- the problem is that it is short- it will only take you about 12 hours to complete the game (it took me close to 10) but it is a very excellent game nonetheless- prince is a great game as well- i havent played through it all yet but i love it- it has great action, and good puzzles- again that game is also on the short side, taking only 15 hours to beat- but i would overall suggest beyond and prince but if you want rpgs go with beyond and skies

I would say go with Skies of Arcadia and Prince of Persia, though all 4 are good choices.  You can get the other 2 later.

I have only played Skies of Arcadia from the bunch, but I assure you that it's well worth every penny if you can actually find a copy of it.

if you really want rpgs go to your little friend call the GBA and get golden sun1 and 2, fire emblem, pokemon sapphire. Thats 4 games for just over the price of 2 GC games if you already have some of these games advance wars 2 or final fantasy tactics is good.  Sorry i havent played any of teh GC games you mentioned but these GBA games are great.

How about you don't buy any of them and rent them all instead? Prince of Persia is 10 hours, Beyond Good and Evil is roughly the same, and if you REALLY like something you can always buy it when you feel the urge to play it again. (ie after a price drop)

I am in the middle of Beyond Good & Evil right now. I would highly recommend it.
