Today U.S. and British forces captured Saddam Hussein who was inside a deep trench with I think 900 million US $ and a rifle. Go to CNN or Fox.com for more. I hope all the troops get to come home now.

It'll still be a while before troops come home; aside from the small resistance pockets we might encounter there's still the rebuilding of Iraq.  Hopefully this doesn't turn into a political argument thread...

It wasnt today it was last night at 8:30 and it was 18 million.  I find it sad that we really have nothing to hold him on yet he is a prisoneer.  He never did anything illegal.  No weapons no nothing.  Funny isnt it.  Sorry im really anti war and we had no business invading iraq in the first place.  And all who supported the war are sick, the war killed and injured 500,000 children. CHILDREN.  If thats not sick what is.  Also dont forget that the nuclear war leaves nuclear dusts, since 1991 i forget what war that was deformaties etc have gone up 600-700%.  Wow, im sure were really helping the people of iraq.  We should just leave the people of iraq alone they dont want us there, they want to have a free society and there own government.  Once again ill state, sudam never did anything illegal now did he, no. So what do we have to hold him on?

I guess killing 500,000 Kurds with mustard gas doesnt count as wrong.  Or invading Kuwait.  The reason there are so many deformities is because Saddam has been using all kinds of chemicals on his own people to keep power.  Learn some history and then you can spout off.  There was NO nuclear war dope.  What are you even talking about? I hope you're not a portrait of the children today.

Now the debates begin.  The good part is, neither have any proof, they just decide what they want to believe, mainstream press, or alternative press.  Both equaliy biased.  Or just go the easy route and follow party lines and such.  Neither takes any thought.

I think "nuclear war" refers to the depleted-uranium ammunition used by US forces. Soldiers are suffering from radiation damage, too. Man, that'd make a good outro for a game: "You returned safely, having beaten all the enemy forces. The people of the nation cheer at you and will remember you as a hero. Six months later you die of cancer".

I am arabic and people from my country were killed from this war ( Syria ) , The war was about Saddam and his weapons of Mass Destruction , America comes in , starts a war , find nothing and act as if they did the right thing.

Its wrong , This war had my family in tears , Killing for no reason .

P.S - I dont hate Americans in general , I like disney land.  

P.S - Saddum is a bad man , he deserved what he got , but what about those 500 000 children ?

Think about it this way.  What would have happened if we had never gone to war? Suddam would have killed more and more people.  There might even have been another 9/11. Suddam is an evil man and needed to be stopped.

I don't agree with war, but I think that what we are doing is right. Even Al Gore is admitting to how stupid the democrats can be.  And how they need to fix some of their stuff.

This is why political/religious threads are prohibited.  People have different views, and no matter what you say they won't change it.  And most of the time there is no right or wrong, so all that it results in is argument.

At the very least, i used facts to back up my statements, whereas  Majexto made his opinions off blatant fabrications.  The documented proof, from GlOBAL sources, not just the U.S., is Saddam killed hundreds of thousands of his own people.  Often using chemical weapons, which now affect those children that Majexto refers to.  I don't pretend to be an angel, nor do i think the U.S. is angelic, but this BS that gets trotted out there aggravates me, and i'll use FACTS to dismiss them.  If you have an opinion, at least try and be educated about the subject.

This is why we don't have these kinds of discussions here.  It would be interesting to have a debate on these things with solid facts, but people immediately start spouting off numbers without sources, and then people start making jabs at each other.  Oh well.  I guess people will never learn that you can only have these kinds of debates with people face to face when common courtesy keeps you from being a total jerk.
