The long-awaited Virtua Fighter Quest is finally announced in Japan.  Pics and info!

Sega has just revealed the first information and screenshots of its long-awaited Virtua Fighter RPG game.  Virtua Fighter: Cyber Generation is the official Japanese name, though it could be different in other regions.  It's an action-RPG (or as I like to call it, "adventure") based on the Virtua Fighter series.  The game will be released on both GameCube and PS2.

Well that game certainly doesn't look very much like Virtua Fighter.  Unless you mean Virtua Fighter Kids of course.  I don't really mind that style but it wasn't what I expected.  Looks kind of like Skies of Arcadia.

Though I'm a little bummed that it's for both PS2 and Gamecube.  Wasn't this originally rumoured to be a Cube exclusive?  I guess it doesn't matter provided they design they game for the Cube hardware.  Still this multiplatform thing pretty much kills any potential killer app status.  No ones going to buy a Cube for it now.

I like that Akira is in the game so Virtua Fighter characters are in it like said earlier

I hope they continue working on a new Shenmue first instead of releasing this

   I don't really like the character designs in this game, visualy it looks boring. I don't mind visuals for a younger audiance, as long as it's good!  I hope the gameplay is more innovative than the designs of the characters.  I don't mind visuals for a younger audiance, as long as it's good!  I read on Gamespot that the game  is an action rpg like  Square's Kingdom Hearts.  I hope the gameplay is better than Kindom Hearts, because otherwise you will have to be a  Virtua Fighter fan to fork over $50.

I hope it's made for GC and has horrible framerates on PS2... Oh, well... Considering we're talking about SEGA that probably won't happen, they couldn't fully utilize the GC even if they wanted to.
