I think it is a great game

As for GCFE, we only know that such a project has been greenlighted (according to rpgamer.com)

I really want this friggin' game.  Alas, finances....

Where would you rank it with other GBA games?  Try to set aside that I-just-got-this-game-and-it's-the-greatest-thing-ever fervor for a second and look at it from a step or two away, hehe.  If you like FE, did you like Advance Wars?  Just curious.

Oh, and it does seem like they are developing one for the GCN.  I don't recall.  A quick Google search brought all sorts of sites with news posts from the last three months or so that say it's in the works.

How much do GBA games cost, generally?  Because I've got my eye on a few, but I've never bought any before, lacking a GBA.

they typically cost $30 at most stores when they're new.  when they're old they can sometimes go down, but generally not.  i've even seen some go up to $35.

also, certain stores (walmart, best buy, etc) will sometimes sell really popular games for $25.  pokemon and final fantasy tactics come to mind.

$30.

Edit: this post would be a lot more relevant if Kingvudu didn't post at the same time.  So I'll just say that I really like cookies... unless they have raisins in them.

Fire Emblem is by far one of the more better games on the GBA.

Its up there with Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga. 9.7 out of 10

My only complaint is that near the end ( it takes along time to get there ) the difficulty is raised drammaticly, You have to avoid all bosses for as many turns as you can.

WHAT!? The bosses are hard? This English version is toned down compared to the Japanese version. This is the easiest Fire Emblem ever made. If you're having trouble now then you can forget about the hard mode. All the bosses can be easily beaten for some skillful planning no matter how hard or how easy.

Well im not saying its too hard but I was not expecting the SUDDEN jump in difficulty . I like the difficulty but i think that the game should have been that hardfrom the start. Also the game lasts around hmmm? uhhh I cant remember. A long time. Around 20-40 hours.

Okay, I'm getting a GBP for Christmas (hopefully) and probably this game, Mario and Luigi, and Metroid Fusion.  Woohoo.  I'm not much of an RPG fan, actually, but Mario and Luigi is too good to pass up, and I need Fire Emblem because my SSBM character is Marth (whether he's in this one or not; I hear that he's not; besides, it looks good anyway).

I thought so, but that's still cool.  Fire Emblem is Fire Emblem.

Though it'd be nice if sometime we got a game with Marth.  He so cool

o i get it now (the thing with roy and marth). the game is soooo fun though. i got ff tactics and fire emblem in the same week, and i think fire emblem is way better. it advanced wars with set characters and rpg elements. its got to be one of my favorite games ever. we need a game cube version asap. i dont know how long i have been playing it so far, but i would guess that its something like 30 hours. but i start over everytime someone dies. lol so it will probably take me a little longer to beat.

So just how long is it?  On the one hand, I like it, but on the other hand the novelty has definitely worn off, and the plot isn't quite enough to draw me further.  And there are a lot of other new games out there that are drawing my eye...  So how many chapters are there?  I'm on Chapter 28 (I think - I just got some magic weapon after fighting a lava area, and a plot event that I shouldn't reveal just happened), and I'm pretty sure I'm almost done; how many chapters do I have left?

He said it was one of his favorite games ever  It is definitely better than FF:TA (which itself is a very good game). I'm really hoping they'll start porting over some of the old FEs... maybe throw a couple on to a bonus disc for FE Cubed?  (I can dream, can't I?)
