I was searching the net for GC component calbs and stumbled on a set, only thing was it didn't have any audio hookups...

What I am looking for is a Component cable w/ Optical audio

anyone wanna throw me a link???

I don't even think you can use optical with the GC...Going with the CC is a good choice though...

GameCube uses Dolby ProLogic 2 which takes the basic stereo sounds and converts them to surround.  There is no optical cables for GCN.

So I would just hook up my GC using standard RCA Audio cables

also::::
The component cables I have seen offered by nintendo have no audio hookups, if I have that plugged in how would I connect my audio... or would I plug the coponent cables into the digital out, and the audio to the standard out???

You have to use both cables, one component set for video out of the digital video port, and the rca cables out of the analoge for audio.

Right, whoever named that port was a fool.  It's a component video out.  There is no audio information coming out of there at all, and as they said, you use your component cable for the video, and the standard one for audio.

Speaking of Component Cables, since most TVs only have one input, can you use a standard RCA splitter to hook up multiple devices?  I don't see why not.
