Gamecube malfunctioning
« on: October 02, 2003, 01:55:06 PM »
I've had gc since it came out, I reckon it was a few years ago and lately it's been playing games for about 10-20 minutes then making a clicking noise, then the game stops spinning and it gives the gc internal error message check manual blah blah. Anybody else have this problem? What did you do? I'm not that surprised since I figured it would break down eventually. I called customer service and the guy told my it could be my third party memeory card that infected the gamecube somehow. How could a memory card I've had for over a year suddenly mess up the disk drive. I think the guy just wants people to buy nintendo memory cards for nintendo profits. Like they cost twice as much and have half the damn memory, screw that. It was working fine until I rented sc 2, maybe just an odd coincidence. Anyway, if you have some advice that would be great.

They told you BS. here's a thread in Tech Discussion about a certain kind of alfunction, might try looking that up if your warranty expired. I've heard that they sometimes replace GCs even after the warranty expired...
