Well, IGN just put up a bunch of brand-new shots of the game and I gotta say that I'm more confused than ever.  This looks to be one of the wierdest games ever.  Many of the shots are obviuosly from in-game cinemas.  Others appear to be in some sort of fps mode.  And then there are several pics that are completely baffling.  I'm definately intrigued.

I thought this was already confirmed by Capcom?

Anyways, the game looks really interesting.  I can't wait to see how this 3rd person/FPS hybrid turns out...

Thanks for the insight Termin8

I wonder if this game is still set for its November release date in Japan? If it is, then there should be a playable version at TGS. Or at least a movie with gameplay footage. Im still going with this whole 7 personalities/7 gameplay modes theory. Maybe FPS is just 1/7 of the game? Hmmmmmm, i guess we'll find out soon enough.

does anyone else think we're setting ourselves up for a huge let-down here?  i have this sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach that says it's just going to be a highly stylized fps with very standard game play that would be ten times better if it were on pc.

yeah its official you should see it on all the TGS lists. and please dont bash www.cube-europe.com. it is one of my favourite sites and is quite trust worthy in my IMHO, it has alot of good features and the mailbag is updated more than any other site.

2.its a FPS and they aint big in japan

sorry i know im being negetive and i might buy the game once more is known about it.

I guess we'll have to wait until TGS to clear the air. Its best not to judge on screenshots alone.

As far as Cube-Europe goes, they're the ones who confirmed Dead Phoenix NOT cancelled; the rest of the Western press have yet to clarify this error. Unless they're lying through their teeth, I consider them credible.
