hey thecubedcanuck, sorry if I got a bit too carried away in my previous post. It's just that I was talking about some really unfair ,and actually criminal, companies, which does piss me off a lot.
Back to your reply...
> How are any of these things lies? Are you saying the next gen of consoles from MS and Sony wont have additional features that the current gen doesnt have?
My mistake, I thought you were referring to the current generation of consoles, not the next. Which is also just hype, but you're right, I can't call these lies (yet).
>SO everyone who bought an X-box to date bought it because they believed the lies? I must be the only person who bought it for the games on it I liked. How stupid of me.
Yes IMHO they do. All of the paying public believes it has better graphics (THAT's really not proven yet), and this is the reason to by an xbox for most of them. You're smart buying a console because of the games. But that's not the case with the general public... at leas not with most of the owners of xbox I've been dealing with (friends, forums etc...).
>I use IE everyday and think its a great browser, it is better than anything else I have tried. The same goes for windows, after using a buggy MAC for 5 years I was thrilled to go back to a windows based operating system.
See? You're the victim man

1) IE is WAY behind the others, just go and try opera 7.20 beta 11 (and they call THIS beta, where it's much more stable than IE 6.0)
2) A buggy MAC, 5 years old! ROFL! 5 years ago there was win98, I'm sure it's not what you're running now

Now... be fair give a try to the current available options, MacOS X, BeOS (although old it's better than XP for multimedia), go burn a KNOPPIX CD, Solaris 9 (with GNOME)..... and there's a lot more. Here you were just proving my point, you don't even KNOW they are worth trying... where's the choice? Go and try buying a PC in California WITHOUT Windows. Or get a refund for not using it. Then come back and tell us what happened, I'll wait patiently the next couple of months for you.
>The right to choose is still there, so your point is totally meaningless.
I think I need to clarify my point here. It WOULDN'T have been there if MS was in the position Sony is right now. THAT's my point.
Hope this all doesn't sound to you too offensive, but you're dealing with criminals here, can't let them shut my mouth...
