rpglover, I managed to get 9 hours worth of gameplay in yesterday.  I am on the Elsa now, and I just fought off all the enemies in the middle of hyperspace.  That whole scene just kicked a lot of ass.  I will get back to Skies of Arcadia one day, but for now, I think I will just stick with Xenosaga.

Aoi, I am going to be loving my paycheque too.    With my first one, I will pay off all my debts, and buy miscellaneous things, and a Nintendo game or two.  With my second, I will remodel my computer from head to toe.  With my third, I will buy an LCD monitor.  Everything else goes into savings for when I am back in school.

F**k....when will I get good luck like that!?! The past week has been the worst of my life. Maybe it's just because it was my first week in high school...Oh well....I'm still looking foward to the good times that seem so far away right now...

If you ask me, high school is WAAAAY better than middle school. I couldn't stand middle school- everyone jostling to fit in to some predetermined stereotyped group, on that fine line between maturity and jackassery. I HATED it. I have to say, my freshman year of high school has been my best year of school yet, and my sophomore year's shaping up to be even better. As for middle school, I've all but completely blocked it from memory.

and i dont know if i have said this yet to you grey (we have been talking xenosaga a bit) but good luck in your new job- i hope it all works out for you

Ya, I have to agree with mouse, sophomore year does kick massive ass. People grow up A LOT in one or two years, I hardly recognize my friends anymore (not just by looks, but how they act as well.)

High school can be a good or bad time depending on how you look at it. Try to look at it the good way.

Oh yeah, freshmen year does get better.

This year I'm a junior, and it's even better than being a sophomore, cause there are 2 grade levels below you you can pick on . And it's supposed to be the hardest year, but I went the lazy route and I'm taking all easy classes. On the other hand, one of my friends is taking all AP classes.

damn Americans... why do you guys have to complicate everything with weird numbering?  First the imperial system, then you guys can't even count to 12 properly.  

I did find that high school was ever so much better than Junior High though.  People just seem to grow up very fast in high school, and that's very pleasing.  All the schoolyard BS just seems to stop.  Grade 12 was miserable when I was in it, and I swore that I would never look back on it fondly.  But in my first year of University, I wanted to go back more than anything else in the world.  That was mainly because of a girl I very much doubt I will ever see again though, and I will never ever get another chance to ask her out.

rpglover, I am still very much enjoying Xenosaga, but I have come to a pretty difficult part, and I might switch for a while.  I love the difficulty of Xenosaga.  It reminds me of Xenogears in so many ways... but it can be stressing at times.    I am at the core of a gnosis, and I have found the Zohar Emulator.  I am fighting the gnosis form of the Commander Chernakov, and am having a very tough go of it.  He kills my entire party very quickly, and I don't have much HP left for my AGWS....  I am sure a solution will present itself, but I am a little on the drunk side right now to be contemplating great strategies.  I think I will just try to navigate myself through the Dark Rift.

Hey! It was the Brits who came up with the Imperial system, and was brought over here hundreds of years ago. True, we've clung onto it, and it's caused problems, but it's not OURS.

So you Americans rebelled against the Brits, and us Canadians left peacefully.  Does it make sense at all that you would be hanging onto Brit customs while us Canadians have pretty much eliminated all the Brit culture?

*cough* and if it wasn't for Canadians, the Americans wouldn't have their biggest trade partner, biggest base of operations against the "commies" in the Cold War, and it's not like the American economy would be a whole lot better without Canada.  Canada and the US exist symbiotically.

Teaspoons, tablespoons, cup, pint, quart, gallon, etc. Grey Ninja has a point, though- the imperial system is just plain confusing. There's 3 teaspoons in a tablespoon, 16 tablespoons in a cup, 2 cups in a pint, 2 pints in a quart, and 4 quarts in a gallon.

Hey, you picking on my thread, fool?

I've taken pretty much all AP courses through high school, and all everything ever did was get easier.  Except for Physics.  That is one boring class.  In fact, sometimes I daydream in it, and I daydream about what various forms of torture would feel like (drill through the head, shot several times, etc.  Yeah, I really do).  It's that boring.
Yeah, anyway, highschool fun.  Or something.
I beat chapter 8 on F-Zero story mode.  That is some hard stuff.

So is the US customary system.  The rest of the world uses the nice little metric system based off the simple, not confusing number 10.  1o millimers in a centimeter, 100 centimeters in a meter, so on.  Yet we in America decide to use a system based off the length of some guy's arm and hand.  does that make sense?  12 inches in a foot, 3 feet in a yard?  Where's those numbers come from?

America is stupid, I'm moving to Canada....

yeah i know- the game can get pretty difficult if you dont level up- and the gnosis core- that was a tough part for me as well- the level itself was hard with all the enemies- and the boss is tough- thats where you are i think- my best team during that fight (if i remember correctly) was kos-mos, ziggy, and shion (just for her AWGS unit)- it was a tough battle but i figure you will get through it- the game is pretty amazing and i cant wait till xenosaga ep. 2 comes out- hope you enjoy yourself
