Topic: Prediction about Star Fox 2

Well this is a very well know prediction that has been batted around awhile. Is there any reason in preticular why you think it will have LAN?

For one I put out that it will really help with the multiplayer matches in that you can have seperate screens.

Well, I would have said that by watching the movie that was released yesterday (Sept. 2), that several of the characters are moving/running in such a fashion that it looks like LAN play.  They are strafing, firing at each other, etc.  It's fairly obvious that deathmatches and the like will be part of the multiplayer.

My prediction:  It will be a great game, and will be a great gaming experience.  But will not sell that great because of general bias in the media toward Nintendo, even from those so called "unbiased" game magazines.

Most of Nintendo's games sell really well despite all the anti-Nintendo cr*p going around and I don't see why Starfox would be an exception.

Star Fox already has a built in audience, but those , for the most part, will be the only people to buy it.

I don't know. Both Pikmin and Animal Crossing were original titles with no existing audience and they managed to sell well.
If the game is as good as I think it will be, I think it will not only sell to the existing Starfox fans but make a whole horde of new ones as well.
It's not going to be a MASSIVE hit of GTA proportions or anything like that but I'm sure it will sell more than well enough to keep Namco happy.

Star Fox 64 was a Player's Choice title.  I have no doubt that this version will do just as well...

I wasn't saying it won't sell well, but pointing out it has a large audience already, and it will draw in new fans, but the majority will be fans from previous SF games.   Kind of like Metroid Prime.  It will get very good sales (assuming its a good game), but ultimately it wont sell as much as it should.  Metroid and Zelda both should've sold more, IMO, and SF being a second tier, albeit great, Nintendo series, will sell less.

LAN?  Cool.  My friend and I are both definitely getting this (both big Star Fox fans), so LAN multiplayer will be a blast with all the gumbo folk.  Gumbo folk being my friends.

I have a question. . . LAN requires two copies of the game doesn't it (or however many cubes you hook up. . .).  If so, I can kiss Kirby LAN goodbye, probably.  My friend did look interested in it, but I dunno if he'll get it or not.  MK is still an option, of course.
