First off, they hate Nintendo.  Every issue, there's some guy who keeps crying that Nintendo should do this and that while to Microsoft and Sony, it's all praises.  Whenever there is a multiplatform game for all systems, guess which system they fail to mention the game is also coming to.  As soon as my subscription ends, I'll leave it at that, but I do thank them for giving me the most beautiful picture of KOS-MOS(Xenosaga) that can't be found anywhere on the web.

GMR=GaMeRs, that's where it came from and the magazine isn't as bad as I made it out to be.

?  Not sure what's Gup talking about?  Alot of developers have pulled it's multiplantform games from the GC, either that or delayed until the other two versions are finished--Mafia comes screaming to mind.

But yeah, it's basically just another mag but it's EB's so you get 10% off pre-owned video games (which saves me tons of money since I rarely buy new anymore).

I've saved $189.23 this year alone (that's with EB's other sales--they had an additional 20% off if you buy three of them for about a month).

What do I do with the money I save?  Buy more of course.

Ymeegod: That doesn't change the fact that when there ARE games coming to all three platforms, they don't mention the Gamecube version. That's what Gup was trying to say. Your comment didn't really have any relavence at all.

i'll agree with Gup on one point -- it's not as bad as he made it out to be. Face it, the GC (and Nintendo in general at times) has an image problem here in the US, and there are some issues i think Nintendo could handle better (ahem, LAN play), so if an editor rags on Nintendo i just brush it off. i haven't noticed any major anti-Nintendo sentiment in the five issues i've gotten, though. Overall a solid multiplatform mag with a piece on old-school, import, or just plain obscure gaming in each issue. i just wish they'd drop the Game Geezer bit at the end of the magazine and add more articles. Then it'd be darn near close to perfect. It's practically a steal at ten bucks though.

Gee I bet MC doesn't even get the Mag.

It's not all praises for the Xbox/PS2.  The only time where the praise it over the GC is during two articles about online gaming & lan.  Not really a big surprise considering there's Zero Lan games out and only a single online game for the GC.

They simply point out the flaws and they don't seem to baised since they had a few cheap-shots at xbox's laughable japanese support.

There's not to many flaws so far with Sony's PS2 other than a bit dated and it's breakdowns so it will seem like they don't bash it as bad.  But if there's a issue with it, then you'll hear about it (Read Ghost Recon review).

Actually, no, I don't get this magazine, nor have I ever even heard of it, and further more I have no idea if Gup is right or not- I was simply clarifying his point.

"GMR gave me the awesome pic. of the N5 "'

Actually that's just something they created and not an official pick.

Don't think we'll see anything official until next year.  Nintendo likes keeping it's cards close.

Actually they do praise Nintendo, but they also point out their shortcommings.  They have this gaming geezer column where they praise the goodness of zelda and some gba games.  Also F-Zero is on the newest cover, Windwaker also made a cover as well.

GMR is a pretty decent magazine.  I do think their biased against nintendo.  Probably because their editors  come from EGM which is unarguably anti-nintendo.  Its a fairly new magazine, and its first ambitious venture into the magazine bit is quite impressive.
