ok, this is really starting to bother me.  It's LAN, not lan, LAN.  It's an acronym, therefore it should have all caps.  If you go lan, then nobody has a freaking clue what you are talking about, or whether you are talking about Ian, or a LAN.

I believe Super Monkey Ball 3 has been confirmed for LAN support as well.

And since we're talking acronyms, how do you guys make the distinction between first-person shooter and frames per second? I usually write them as FPS and fps, respectively.

I think that AV said they weren't working on Super Monkey Ball 3. It was just a rumor.

Context isn't enough! o_O THERE MUST BE MORE DISTINCTION!!

You know, Ninja, you remind me a lot of a guy I met on IGN about 2 years ago that I really like and talk to on AIM now quite regurlarly. I don't know why, but you just do. Sorry for getting off topic.

Well, if I am talking about how many FPS I get in an FPS, then I am assuming that you know what I am talking about.

And... thanks.  I really don't know what else to say.

Legend of Zelda: Four Swords GC might also have LAN-capabilities. According to a press-release last week, 16 people can play the game at the same time. This screenshot also shows 8 Links on screen at the same time.
Kirby's Air Ride and Phantasy Star Online Episode III also have LAN-capabilities.

What is FPS?

Am I referring to First Person Shooter or Frames Per Second, you decide.

I run 60 FPS's usually = I run 60 First Person Shooters usually

if you asked What is FPS?, then I would give you both definitions.

If you said that you usually ran 60 FPS's usually, I would ignore the horrible grammar, and assume that you were running at 60 FPS, as running 60 FPS games at once just doesn't make sense.

I was wondering if those games will be able to be played online, because of the whole gamespy thing, or whatever that is. Can they all go online because of how the systems are being tricked to think that they are playing LAN? Sorry if i dont make sense, I just woke up.

Nintendo's LAN-games should all communicate in the same way. Because of this it is relatively easy to create a tunneling-application that works on all lan-games. Two tunneling applications already exist for Kirby's Air Ride, these should also work with all the other LAN-games.  The first tunneling-application is in entirely Japanese, but it currently works over the internet while maintaning a 60 fps(not 60 first-person-shooters ;D) framerate.  The second tunneling application is in English, but the project is still in a pre-alpha phase.  The first release of this project should not be too far away.

On top of this, I expect that GameSpy to announce their plans for a tunneling application soon.
