Whats the best RGB Scart Cable?
« on: August 15, 2003, 02:32:03 AM »
just got a Joytech RGB SCART Cable but the quality of the picture is the same as the composite cable supplied with the gamecube. I have a scart cable for my ps2 and it makes the picture alot sharper and enhances the colours etc, but the gamecube one doesnt, you can still alter the colour and contrast settings on your tv when playing, but on the ps2 one the colour and contrast are fixed and cant be changed. Does anyone know of a True RGB cable that improves the quality as much as the one i have for my ps2? On the box of the scart cable it says 'Highest possible picture quality from your GameCube System'I hope this isnt true.

Also whats the Digital AV OUT socket for on the back of the GC?

I got the official Nintendo RGB SCART cable. The picture quality is great. I did hear that one of the third party RGB cables didn't use a "true" RGB signal, so maybe it was the Joytech one.

The digital out on the GC is for component connections to HDTV's I believe. They're not available in PAL yet (which I assume you're using, since you're asking about RGB).
