Animal Crossing question.
« on: August 12, 2003, 03:12:34 AM »
I've noticed in Animal Crossing that there seem to be special events that are scheduled to take place in real-life time. For example....you have to do such and such at a certain time on August 15th in real life in order to get something in your Animal Crossing game.

I haven't bothered with Animal Crossing yet but was thinking of picking it up. Does all of this "actual time event" stuff mean that it's way too late to buy the game and "catch up" to everyone else? Or isn't that how the game works?

No! Each holiday comes around once a year and most events happen more than once. So you really didn't miss any items. But you do have to play catch up now. Don't worry, you'll eventually have everything!

Nah, it'd pretty much be the same game if you were playing it thirty years from now.

The game is based on the yearly calender. So if you missed the meteor shower last night (Aug 12) you'll just have to wait till next year to see it. Unless of course you cheat and mess with the GC's clock.

Oh, and I can't recommend this game enough either. I bought the game last Sept and I'm still playing nearly every day.

i always switch time. you lose interest if you have to wait a whole year for a model or something. also, why would you wait 3 hours for tom nook to open? its a great game. buy it and a gamboy-gamecube link if you have a gameboy advance or sp.

i have a question. the games time only goes up to 2030. what happens after that? does the game become invalid?

note: like i said above, nintendo thinks your around to play this game on christmas eve at 8:00, new years eve ( til like 1:00 am), 4th of july at seven, etc. on all of those times, am at a party on the 4th or on vacation, christmas eve im as busy as heck, and at new years, and dont play animal crossing at one in the morning! im watching new years eve show til about 11-12.

ill play it then just to spite you what else were nintendo going todo? have hte dates wrong so more people could see it? wouldn't it then lose some of its magic?

also i belive at 2030 the game resets and you start from the begining again, tested by various people by altering their clock.

Well, in 2030, I doubt I will still be playing the game.    If I am, I will just reset the clock.

But yeah, I just started playing the game about a month ago, and I am experiencing new what all the other idiots have already done.    Next year I might be able to see stuff I missed, like that Meteor Shower....
Once I had, a little game

I think you know the game I mean

Hey guys. i have a test for you. create your own theme of furniture. it can be anything.

my theme is the Camping theme, constisting on most of the items given by campers.
put a hammock, a garden pond, a compass, a propane stove (optional), and an orange box with a diary on it somewhere in the room. the floor is a daisy meadow and the walls are meadow vista. have your sleeping bag, backpack, lantern, mountain bike, campfire, kayak, etc. also, if you dont care about happy room acadmy, put down a fishing rod and/or net on your floor for the realistic look. write in your diary about your fake adventures in the wilderness, like "today, a bear bit my arm off...." stuff like that. hope you like it.
