Is this site to be trusted? in case it can be: I don't believe it! Megaton! Although I'm pretty sure Miyamoto said that DK and Yoshi games were in development for the GC back at E3...

Wario Ware? That won't be hard to port... I heard though, that it's main appeal is being able to pick up and play it for even just ten seconds if you have nothing else to do. It will lose this on the Cube. Did they mention if it was just a port, or new mini-games?

No details as of yet except for "Wario Ware is coming to GameCube in October". I would expect new minigames, updated graphics and cool new multiplayer modes.

It's obviously a new game. Nintendo would never port a GBA game to the GCN. That would be insane in itself and would be even more insane because of the existance of the GBP.
I think the GCN version will probably focus more on multiplayer and the mini-games will be longer. Kind of like a Mario Party except without the board and a TON more mini-games that will be a lot more straight-forward and simplistic in design. It could be A LOT of fun.

I'm not sure about the Donkey Kong thing. Could it just be referring to the arcade-style DK game shown for the GBA a while ago. Seems like Namco would be a lot more likely to work with Nintendo on the arcade-style DK than the newer DKC games.

I wonder if the Zelda game being referred to is Four Swords or Wind Waker 2.
I just assumed they'd both be out by the end of the next fiscal year. Maybe it is referring to WW2 and Nintendo just considers FS to be a GCN/GBA game.

Hopefully the big spring announcement is about the Gamecube or its successor. Some are speculating it could be a GBA2 but that's the last thing I want. Iwata commented that he doesn't belive the PSP will be much a threat so I think the likelyhood is the announcement is for the console market.

Also, Nintendo said it plans more collaborations with developers in the future which I think is the best news of it all.

Im pretty sure the Zelda game they are refering to is the next "real" Zelda. When it says "out next fiscal year", it means it will come out sometime between April 2004 and March 2005, which makes it seem like its the next real Zelda game, the sequel to Wind Waker. And yeah, Wario Ware on GC has potential to be awesome!

Also, Namco are responsible for Klonoa, so they have experience with 2D platformers, it should be interesting to see how Donkey Kong GC ends up. And its coming out by the end of the year!

Slightly OT--Have you guys noticed how close Nintendo seems to be getting to Namco? Besides Star Fox, we got 2 exclusives RPGs and now we learn that DK has been in joint development with Namco. I don't want to start a megaton, but what the hell is going on here exactly? Did Nintendo throw a whole lot of money around or is Namco expressing some interest in Nintendo making some kind of investment in the company? I remember that Namco seriously wanted to merge with Sega but that didn't pan out--maybe Nintendo is their goal?

Again, this is purely conjecture on my part, but it sure is interesting to see what Namco has going on. Namco as an exclusive 3rd party or maybe a 2nd party would be a huge move for Nintendo going into the next gen.

"GameCube Made in Wario in October"

excellent news.  hopefully nintendo will take this opportunity to port some of their older nes and snes games to the gc (i.e. in the form of unlockable games)

omfg!  new gcn-gba link cables that make it so you can hook two gba's up to a single controller port on the gcn!  now i can hook up 8 gba's to my gcn!  M3GAT0N!!1!

I would love to see Nintendo offer a Donkey Kong Bonus Disc Offer, featuring ports of the 3 Donkey Kong arcade games (mainly to have the arcade version of Donkey Kong, Jr.). I doubt it will happen though.

OMG WARIO WARE WILL BE AWESOME.

But some people need to realise that the game will most likely be in 3d!!! Not saying there will be some 2d minigames, but think about having 15seconds to whip bowser around and beat him from mario 64 etc. It would be just like Wario Ware on GBA, but with 3d

I am VERY surprised at the news that DK GC is being made by Namco.
VERY surprised.
But seeing how Star Fox isn't looking too great as of this moment, I'm a little on the skeptical side. I hope it has the same amount of gorgeous detail like in Banjo/DK64 (minus the super tedius collect-a-thons of course).
But we'll see what happens.

Namco is making a very smart move by getting close with Nintendo. Here are my thoughts on this:

Nintendo's franchises are the best selling titles on GCN, right? Well, Namco optimizes sales on GameCube by developing the big Nintendo franchises. Its the smartest move a 3rd party could make when making games for GCN (developing a big Nintendo franchise, that is).

and Nintendo gets to focus on new franchises for GCN (or at least they are supposed to be doing this)

sure, this isnt a big revelation by any means, but its still pretty cool.
I'll shut up now...

Star Fox looking bad doesn't correlate at all to Donkey Kong, unless they're being made by the same development team. That's like saying Zelda will suck because 1080 sucks, seeing as how they're both made by Nintendo.

This is all very exciting news. Wario Ware GC could be insanely awesome. They could have snippets of GC games! 10 seconds of the boating mini-game in Wind Waker. =) I hope they retain some 2D mini-games though. It adds variety. And coming out THIS YEAR? We'll be getting more information anytime now. Same with DK.

You failed to mention the VIP program. When you buy specified Nintendo VIP games (exclusive games, I'd imagine), you recieve points which can be used to "buy" products online. It's already happening in Europe, but all there getting is dinky screen savers and crap. Nintendo has reported that they will be adding games and hardware to the catalogue. Sounds great for us hardcore types. =)

As for the new product...I'd like to push that out of my mind so as not to get my hopes built up to insane proportions only to have them crumble down. You'd all be wise to do the same.

Why do people continue to harp on Star Fox's look? You do realize that Nintendo and Namco have confirmed that it's only 30% done. Has the thought ever crossed people's mind that most of what we have seen is placeholder stuff while they try to get the gameplay together? I didn't know that it was rule of thumb for developers to have the graphics of the game finished before they actually had the GAME itself done or close to being finished.

Anyway, I'm now looking more forward to the points thing, as it looks like there are some interesting things you can earn with it. Hopefully, they will get some 3rd parties involved on the deal--Nintendo doesn't need that much help with software sales.

Fish, Pilotwings supposedly is already in development or will be in development very soon. Ign reported that factor 5 would handle it around E3.

On another note, it would be kicka$$ if Nintendo made Namco a 2nd party. Its seems that Namco is becoming like a 3rd party rare, handling Star Fox and Dk and also dishing out exclusives. and it would be great going into the next gen with exlusives like Tekken, Soul calibor, and ridge racer. Oh man it would be so cool.
