Game Gear

Has anyone owned a Game Gear? I had one after I told my mom my Gameboy broke because it was black and white, so we returned and got a Game Gear which was worse because it used 6 batteries and they only lasted for like 4 hours. Anyway at my local Toys R Us they are selling em for $30 on the clearence game isle. Are there any quality games worth getting? And is the recharger thing worth it? I just love the way it looks...don't know why.
Temptation why wont you leave me alone?

I would pay 30, the sonic games were a lot of fun.  Side Pocket was a great little pool game too.

I liked the pocket pool game taht didn't even require a Game Gear to play.
Once I had, a little game
I liked to crawl back into my brain
I think you know the game I mean

There are plenty of fantastic Game Gear games. Finding them may be quite a challenge, however.

Teddy Boy, Wonder Boy In Monster Land/World, Sonic Chaos, Jurrassic Park, Tempo JR, Ristar, Powerstrike, Itchy & Scratchy Mini Golf, Golden Axe Warrior, Panzer Dragoon Mini, Psychic World, Bubble Bobble... Plenty.

I myself have never owned a Game Gear, but one of my best friends did many a year ago. Good times. You may want to invest in an AC adaptor, though.

I've learned the majority of its good games via the Master System (90% of Game Gear games were also on Master System) and good ol' emulation.

And if you find a TV Tuner, QUICKLY buy it. It's become one the hardest things to ever find on Game Gear now. Basically, it let you watch TV on your Game Gear. Full colour.

I traded Super Metroid for a Game Gear, Sonic, X-men, and an adapter.

Biggest mistake EVER.
