The "I Don't Like Sand" scene~book on tape

I didn't think it was possible, but it does improve on Hayden's already moving delivery.

Well, I will say that of the various problems from the Star Wars prequels, I never had any issue with Hayden Christensen's acting or delivery. Natalie Portman's won an Oscar but it's not like she could do much to elevate some of the material given her in these movies. Compared to Jake Lloyd in Episode 1, he's like Marlon Brando with his acting in these films. Heck, his performance and role in Shattered Glass still sticks with me after more than a decade of seeing that film.

However, I didn't come here to praise Caesar nor to bury him but get a laugh from robotic line readings. As such, I did get some enjoyment out of Calculon Senior's flat delivery of "Everything here is magical" and "When I'm around you, my mind is no longer my own".

The writing was the problem. The best actors in the world couldn't make that script not awful. I always thought they should go back and do a special edition of the prequels like they did for the original trilogy, except instead of re-doing the effects they could replace all the dialogue.
