What ARE the exact rules for posting links? That message in the GameCube section seems pretty vague to me. Like, if I saw a news story on another site, wouldn't it be permissible to link to that story and provide a brief description? It would seem so, since several threads within the GameCube forum have links from other sites contained within.

I think it's okay to link main pages but not directly to articles, but I'm not sure. I know for a fact you can't link directly to pictures or movies and you can't copy and paste an article from another website, whether it's free or not- that's a big no no.

Linking stories or posting summaries are fine. Posting the whole article, linking directly to movies, or otherwise bypassing any advertising on their site is not
