Gamecube on Tom Green Show
« on: July 23, 2003, 07:28:03 AM »
Did any of you see the Tom Green show last night? He had a little segment where he promoted the Cube and the new Rogue Squadron and then proceeded to throw eggs from a basket that was next to all the Cubes.

Plus, i've noticed many more commercials as of late. Maybe they are finally trying to appeal to that 18-24 age range instead of letting the other consoles fight over it themselves.

I saw it too. He did it 2 nights ago but WrestleManiaXIX. He was freaking out too and started to smash chairs. I wonder what game he promotes tonight? Probably Soul Calibur II. He does it about half way through his show on MTV @ 12:00EST.

Maybe Nintendo will hire Tom Green to be their official spokesman and have him film a series of commercials like he did for Pepsi One and Right Guard deodorant.

Yep, we are doomed.  The most annoying, least talented human being on the face of the earth is now our spokesman.  Thanks a lot fellas.

Who cares.. Tom Green convinces the MTV crowd that Nintendo is good, more money for Nintendo, more games get produced quicker, money is spent to pay Tom Green, we still get great games!

lol screw the honor is right....just having a spokes person on mtv would do nintendo loads of good. although the jack ass dude may be a little better....so many impressionable teens watch that crap. they just need A spokes person or 2. it could be worse then tom green....think of rosie o'donald. WHAHAHAHAHAHHA or kobe bryant WHAHAHAHAHAHHA. but anyways...i doubt he will become a spokes person, cuz i just dont see nintendo doing something liek that.

Nintendo will always have honor.
So if it can get Tom Green's dumb fans to like the Gamecube by slipping the alpha dummy himself some cash, I say got for it.
I agree that the Jackass guys would be better Nintendo spokespersons though. They'd be hurling Gamecubes at each others crotches and sticking Gameboys up their butts.
That's just the kind of thing Nintendo needs to win over the "mature" gamers

Hey, I vote for a Jackass promo.  They could do all sorts of dangerous sh*t to Nintendo products and show how they still work--maybe even a durability competition with the other two.

This is actually the third time Tom Green had a plug for the gamecube.  Tonight he did a plug for the new Madden football game.  He just kept repeating some stuff and threw footballs at a stack of gamecube boxes, and he missed the stack 3 times in a row, then he just ran and jumped into them.  Heh, ANY news about the 'cube is good news.  Nintendo is now a sponcer(sp) to the show so we should see this every night.

Big Brother (although it just finished) is like the HOTTEST thing in Australia.
Too bad PS2 rules it.
Cause every week when a housemate gets evicted, he or she gets a PS2 as a gift.
Plus there's like PS2 pro-attitudes everywhere!

On Rove Live on tuesday, Gretel Keleen was talking about Reggie (the winner) and her prize money of 250,00 dollars, and she said Reggie was disappointed cause she didn't get a PS2.
"Reggie was saying 'Awwww, where's my PS2?' "
-_____-
BLOODY HELL!
How's THAT for promotional material!
Its' everywhere!

And the spokesman for the N64, Adam Furguson, hosts the Big Brother INsider every friday!
ARRGH!

I hate Tom Green, but if he is one of the most popular properties on US TV, then by all means.
If NIntendo were the sponsers for BB, then bloody hell, thats like 90% of Aussie reached already.

yeah the Amercian version of Big Brother really suks..i think they took it off even. The show neve really took off here. I think it was more the presentation htan anything. Tat damned host was about the most annoying thing ever...i felt like beating her senselss with my penis. had they have had some better hosts it would be awesome. Survivor is a show i really like...i hope it stays on. The first season was the best..but i m sure they can get a group of weird people some year. And then theres Real Wrold which iv been watchign for years. However im really sick of mtv now...because all it is now is reality tv.

^He doesn't really seem depressed just bored.. he's been doing to same kind of entertainment for the last 10 or more years. Hell I remember watching him when he was on public access TV here in canada. For some reason I feel he doesnt like the way the show is.. its a copy of Conan but with Tom Green antics.  Still funny if you like that kind of comedy.. the Glen Humplick jokes need to stop some, just aren't funny anymore.

Yeah he does seem kinda depressed now.  But I still find him funny.
Plus I like the fact that i've been seeing all these games while watching his show.

P.S. Has anyone else noted that he now has this habit of making like weird faces, or like weird motions with his mouth. I have been watching him since the first day he started on mtv and never noticed that until this show started.

You would too, if you got divorced with Drew Barrymore....

Saw it today, he promoted F-Zero.... Funny stuff. Wonder for how long Nintendo will be sponsoring Tom Green... Personally id like to see it taken further, use tom for some TV comercials it would help with the image... regardless of your opinion on Mr Green
