The two big Wii U releases of March hit the charts in a big way.

March's two big Wii U releases were the big winners in the monthly physical US sales according to the NPD Group.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD was the #3 best selling game of the month both as a single game/system combo and overall, selling over 300,000 copies. Pokkén Tournament also had a strong month, finishing 4th in the game/system rankings and 7th in NPD's combined rankings with just over 250,000 units sold in a little over two weeks.

Estimates for hardware have the 3DS selling 170,000 units in March, a combination of the Fire Emblem/Pokémon limited edition halo effects and the March 25 release of Hyrule Warriors Legends (72,000 copies) dovetailing into the Easter holiday. The Wii U sold through approximately 65,000 units, which appears to indicate the strong sellers sold well to the existing Wii U userbase.

I expected to hear that Fire Emblem Fates was a top seller?
Awakening had staying power and everyone talked about it for 6 months straight. Maybe that's not the case with Fates.
